  1. Americas most beloved SJW. He is a really good guy though. Just dumb.
  2. I feel more secure with Mattis in regards to North Korea than I would have with anybody else. Decapitation raid soon while THAD is still capable of defense would probably be best IMHO.
  3. No shit. How is this guy so popular with the left? He is dumber than a box of rocks.
  4. We are doing joint Military exercises with South Korea right now. They flex nuts at the end of February and early March every year like clockwork.
  5. And then again I will need to read it much more to see if it is left leaning. A few articles asking if Trump is crazy is not necessarily grounds for forming an opinion. That is why I love foreign papers like this, they can call it like they see it a little more with a little less bias to drive sales. If the Times starts an article asking if Trump is crazy, I am immediately on edge and will read it through a lens of "they have a grudge". Not so much with foreign papers, I can actually enjoy the article.
  6. @NVGiant. The SMH was a GREAT recommendation! Very good reads on North Korea right now. Very similar to the Japanese papers but a little more, light, for a better but not perfect word (those Japanese are serious dudes). It clearly would be considered left leaning based on my cursory readings but that is fine. Still very high quality.
  7. @TheSanDiegan @NVGiant @bluerules009 @mugtang This is why I so very much enjoy wasting hours on this board. Conversations that I am sure are going nowhere can all of a sudden take really great twists and I just picked up a few great new papers to read and even a professional opinion from the wife of a board member who worked in journalism in India. Good shit right here.
  8. The outside perspective helps me check my very real biases against the articles I read daily from the Times, the WSJ and others. I will check out the Sydney Morning Herald.
  9. You caught me before my edit right after I posted somehow an hour ago as it did not come out clearly I edited it 15 seconds later. They are not better than the times, to be clear but I personally have enjoyed these foreign papers more for the perspective they bring.
  10. Will do. My high school had a very large population of foreign students, especially Asians, so the only reason I know about these papers at all is through continued relationships via facebook.
  11. I started reading them after a friend of mine I went to BK with, who is from India, moved back there and started linking articles pertinent to Trump, I found the articles he linked to be of very high quality.
  12. I'll take your word for it though, I just started reading the indian papers 2 months ago. Been reading the Japanese ones for 3 years.
  13. WaPo? lol. Never said they were better than the Times, just better than most papers in America right now. WaPo included. What a rag.
  14. How so, a sig is a sig and avatar is an avatar. How about this. Your avatar against my sig and avatar, 6 months for you, 1 year for me?
  15. The Asahi Shimbun, The Yomiuri Shimbum, The times of India, The Hindu, the SZ, The Sonomat all produce very high quality papers. Better than most anything found in the States. WSJ is still the best in the world though.
  16. So the quality of print media is falling and falling fast? I agree with you. Papers outside the USA, I have found are of higher quality, aside from the British ones.
  17. So do you feel the media has any responsibility, especially print media, to attempt to make the people more competent, or just to sell itself while feeding into and encouraging incompetence to insure profits?
  18. If not deemed prosecutable then it is hardly worth the insanity being swallowed right now. I have no avatar and sig because I lost a sig and avatar bet years before you were on here and never bothered to get new ones.
  19. I know for absolute certainty I am going to win, so double it up. You get to pick my Avatar and Sig. Me, just your avatar.
  20. No intelligence agency has even so much as hinted of collusion, though. So toss that nonsense out right now in regards to this topic of whether or not one of the few hundred people connected in similar capacity to Trump had contact with a friend of Assange and if Assange and wikileaks helped broker a deal between the President and the Kremlin. You sound ridiculous.
