  1. Intellectually speaking, the Eternally Corrupt Twice Impeached Orange Shit Stain Man’s speaking style was incoherent to most. But he was never appealing to the learned set. His was a sales approach, plain and simple. Unorganized thought-jumping was a hallmark of his. Somehow, that and all the non-sequitors both stoked fear and appealed to a base who then filled in the blanks with their own insecurities. Hence, all the anger from so many of his supporters. Point being, I’m certainly glad Biden does none of this. Yeah, he leaves a lot to be desired in the public speaking realm, but gi

  4. Beijing 2022. A new Olympic-level “Senior-stepping/jumping” competition. Joe is squarely in the “Emeritus” Division Made for TV event here, for sure. They build a facsimile of the stairs at Machu Picchu and also the Egyptian Pyramids. Heart attacks, pulled groins and, of course, stumbling down to one’s untimely death are notable elimination factors...

  7. You sort of have to look at it this way: You DO know that Covid -19 can either make you very sick or even kill you. On the flip side, you do NOT know that the vaccine can either make you very sick or kill you. Up until this point in time, I like the latter scenario much better than the former...

  9. Got the booster shot (Pfizer) yesterday afternoon at Levi's at 4:00 PM. I was fine until about midnight last night and then the aches came. By morning (after a fitful night's sleep of about 4-5 hours, tops) I had a pretty decent sized headache. The aches were still there. Not terrible... but certainly not great. By noonish, the headache somewhat subsided, but my neck was still bothering me (muscle tightness). The aches really started kicking in in the early afternoon. I wanted to leave work, but just stuck around and sort of "faked" it the rest of the afternoon. This evening, I had a b

  11. It’s only an obsession when the dialog is unprompted. The Corrupt, Twice Impeached Orange Shit Stain brought it upon himself (for all posterity) when he self-proclaimed in 2015 (thru his then doctor) that “his physical strength and stamina are extraordinary” and “if elected... I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.” I mean, you can’t make that shit up... can you? JFC, a 25 year-old Olympic Athlete in their prime may be pressing his/her luck with such an outlandish type of statement (“extraordinary physical strength and stamina”?
  12. God, for someone who supposedly has bazillions off dollars, he sure dresses like shit on the golf course. Cheapest looking cotton golf shirts ever. Zero style, and I mean zilch. White is not a flattering color for him (nor, if I’m being completely honest, is red, for that matter)...

  14. I need to get to Scotland one day myself. I have some Highlander lineage, plus in areas not all that far west of Glasgow... We might hit the Big Island with other family members in August. Maybe New Jersey in November-December-ish (one of the Holidays). Too soon to tell for all of this, but we do get our second vaccine shots tomorrow...
  15. I remember that fight, too. Not exactly a boxing aficionado, but a sports fan that just so happened to watch a decent amount of boxing back in the day. That Hagler-Hearns Round One round was truly "epic". I simply couldn't believe what I was watching. Multiple blows that should've dropped the other. From each fighter. Just crazy... I had forgotten that the Middleweight division was so loaded back in the day. I also remember the Hagler-Leonard fight. I was a Leonard fan, sure (he had good charisma), but my distinct recollection while watching was that Hagler probably should have
  16. For me, and upon a moment or two of cinematic reflection, I think it was when the great white started chowing down on that cranky ship captain in Jaws. It certainly didn't end well for the old codger. To my fellow posters, the Sixth Sense (my immediate, knee-jee reaction) and the Red Wedding are two excellent choices as well...

  18. Can't disagree with what you're saying here. On some level, I think this is also indicative of the perception of holding public office as being just not at all appealing (whatsoever) to otherwise good people - you know, people that might more capably "project" what you're referring to. Both the Orange Shit Stain and Biden are indeed both very average, even mundane public speakers. With the former you have someone who's almost all bluster, heavily prone to litter his speech with half-truths and even outright lies. Somehow, some way, that equates to "powerful" to some of the intellectu
  19. Lol. Projecting power? How about simply stating the truth? A novel concept (especially for many of the dumber Trumptards), I know. Or about offering real hope to people? Or even giving actual answers to problems? Don’t conflate Presidential “power” in this particular speech with solving problems - something the Eternallly Corrupt Twice Impeached Orange Shit Stain knew (and knows) absolutely nothing about, and which President Biden will continue to show his ability to do, day in and day out...
  20. Mebbe. I guess it’s one thing if the Richard-Head does something heinous to a single person or a handful of people... or even to one of his crooked, oft-failed companies.. but when he actually threatens to take down democracy in one fell swoop? Eff that guy. Seriously...
  21. Love all youse hoops fans, but for those that can’t watch (like me) maybe try dropping a score in the string every now and again...
