  1. Or a “silly” post like your own, because you really have a clue about debt don't you?
  2. That's what happens when you build a shinny new stadium or an extensive renovation. Hoping you get into a power conference.
  3. I don’t see a need to add teams just for the sake of adding. The pie just gets cut up in smaller pieces. Bringing UTEP on would not be beneficial besides a rival for UNM, their TV market which is shared with NMSU is #91. If Oregon State and WSU decide to join I’m fine with that as higher profile programs. But if not I’m fine without them.
  4. Logan is just 30 miles north of the Salt Lake metro area with north Ogden at the northern edge. Also Ft. Collin’s is just north of the Denver metro, as for Fresno, its metro is larger than El Paso’s. So basically all those including Albuquerque have significantly larger TV markets. As for the Montana schools, I don’t see the appeal for those very small markets.
  5. When talking about market size or even TV market size, Metro areas are considered not just the city itself. So the line is drawn further out.
  6. Last I checked Albuquerque Metro is at 955,000 and El Paso at 868,000. Albuquerque Metro is almost 100k bigger.
  7. Don’t fire Leon, he’s a hell of a Coach. BSU will regret it!
  8. Per Dellenger, the agreement would require a long-term commitment to the Mountain West from Oregon State and Washington State and language preventing the two schools from poaching “only a portion of [Mountain West] schools” at a future time. Gloria looking out for the entire MWC.
  9. It looks like OSU & WSU are getting a little greedy and will +++++ the MW if possible. They approached the Sun Belt to work out a scheduling agreement for 24/25. The Sun Belt turned them down.
  10. The irony of it all is the Maloof family first settled in Las Vegas, New Mexico when they first came to the US. And ended up in Las Vegas, Nevada!
  11. He’s probably thinking of Phil Maloof, who actually played QB for NMSU, and received his post secondary degree from UNM. He went on to become a State Senator.
