  1. Why in the world would the MWC add ndsu? Giving up a share while burdening everyone’s travel budget makes little sense I would think the MWC would have to be facing extinction to add ndsu There may be movement and it could be good for the mwc If the MWC is forced to add ndsu we will know it is facing extinction. Adding ndsu would be a last desperate attempt at survival
  2. Back on topic. STAY OUT OF FARGO. As far as the Big 12 goes: NDSU IS IN THE BiG 12. That is their problem. Don’t make it a MWC problem. NO NDSU! Expand into Montana maybe. Smaller cleaner, less well known schools should help keep the MWC out of trouble. Both Montana schools have a history of being solid competitors that come up short which is an added bonus for the top MWC schools. Maybe gain some sos and The old apple cart stays upright! The MWC should be rid of sdsu in a year or two. That will help clean up the conference. Perfect time to add risk free, popular schools inside the existing footprint. GO MONTANA. The mvfc and summit league are looking at billings state.
  3. stay out of Fargo. No travel advisory One Fargo Police Officer Killed, Two Others Injured in Shooting – Deceased Shooter Identified as Mohamad Barakat Newest Oldest − Jim Eagle 6 hours ago I grew up in Fargo. It used to be one of the safest places on Earth. Thanks to the drug trade going out to the oil fields, the importation of lawless Somalis, and leakage from the terrorist blue states of Minnesota and Illinois, it's turned into an absolute dump with out of control crime, shootings, robberies and drugs. The state needs to get a handle on things as the local politicians are out to lunch and incompetent.
  4. On second thought I would stay the hell away from Fargo. It lookups like an unprovoked Muslim attacked Fargo police. Fargo police officer dies, two are in critical condition following street shootout https://inforum.com/#/questions last time I was there it was still pretty nice but like so many places is descending into violent chaos as the invasion gains momentum. Stay the hell away from Fargo and Minneapolis. Doug Bergum is a china boy. DO NOT ADMIT NDSU INTO THE MWC
  5. You know then how convent the Ndsu athletic complex and the prestigious Fabulous Fargo Dome are to hector field and what game day is. Far from every day life in the old home town.
  6. If you can afford those go for it! There are better though, much, much better.
  7. So what? The Denver airport sucks big time. Walk, ride a train, wait, walk, walk, (don’t forget baggage) then the hour drive to Denver or the fort probably on some kind of shuttle bus or worse go through car rental and drive that horshsh*T traffic yourself and try and park. Are you kidding me? Bragging about that massive hassle?!!? at hector field you will be 1/2 mile from the Fabulous Fargo Dome and the NDSU athletic complex. Your luxury hotel may be downtown, or much closer, maybe walking distance. It will be your favorite destination. Food? The best! You will want to be at the Buffalo Wild Wings roof party across from the fabulous Fargo dome but it will be packed with regulars. You will find a spot though lots of great places around campus and the storied, prestigious Fabulous Fargo Dome
  8. I’ll defer to your expertise on NDSU football. Craig Bohl must have been coaching NDSU. I’m also working from memory but I’m sure you can confirm. The Bison dominated the Polks but lost those fumbles. It’s been 15-20 years, a game Wyoming fans will never forget. Loved coach Bohl so much they hired him away!
  9. You can’t win them all. Tough for a D2 team transitioning into the FCS to Win the FBS games you listed. Ndsu wasn’t even play off eligible yet. Those were big wins for those schools and, as you demonstrated , have become even bigger as time wore on. Bragging points for them as we see in your comment. that gopher loss was a freak of nature, giving the gophers an exciting hard fought win. What would have been NDSUs winning field goal bounced off the goal post near the final gun. I think the Bison went on to pound the stuffing out of the Gophers a couple times after that. They don’t dare schedule ndsu anymore. In fact none of those schools dare schedule ndsu anymore. The best win on that list was AZ. They were over-joyed with what many called an upset and went on to have one of their best seasons in years under their new head coach. Great program and a fun game. That was a good match up against a pretty good NDSU squad. Average really. They lost in the national championship game to SDSU too. You forgot that one.
  10. It’s not you guys. I’m not representing ndsu. I just think if you want to upgrade your conference and bring attention to football inviting NDSU is your best shot. If the MWC wants a presence in the upper Midwest ndsu is the obvious choice. Besides that Wyo game was a great football game. The bison fumbled 3 times if I remember correctly. The Pokes were good very good. Yet NDSU took it to the last play. Didn’t it end near the goal line with the bison drive coming up short. Wyoming never dared schedule ndsu again. lucky win and they know it against what was one of NDSUs weakest teams of the decade. A win Wyo fans are very proud of to this day, and they should be. their team beat The Bison! I was at that game. It’s just a short drive and it’s a great stadium. It was a lot of fun and Wyo was celebrating their win under former ndsu head coach Craig Bohl. A great coach that had his best Run in Fargo.
  11. I’ve been to the Fort pleanty. I go to Michigan now. you make my point for me. The MWC is red headed step child. Can’t even get the two Colorado schools only a few miles apart in the same conference. The MWC is a mess. Schools want out, lawyers fighting, sold out to Boise and now Boise is cruising with the big check. The history of foresight is terrible. It’s a conference the other conferences use as an overdraft account. If they need a program they pick the mountain west clean. It’s been a long downward spiral. Time for stability, excitement and new profitable markets like the upper Midwest where there is zero mountain west presence now.

  13. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. In ten years it will be too late. The fort is what is depressing. Dirty, low life people, empty stadium. Drugs everywhere. A little Denver but dirtier and harder to get to. If it wasn’t for the larger stage, easy rise to football dominance and better betting games for my predictive algorithm I could care less. Not much in this conference that has value. NDSU could take it over just as easily as they did the Summit and MVFC. But that’s neither here nor there. The MWC is a fading light. NDSU will help it or move on to better things, better people and better times. I see for you it’s all rah rah let’s sit out in the rain, snow and cold. Lol. That’s your business. You must sleep outside too? The best football has outdoor tailgating and perfect indoor conditions. Both basketball and hockey have discovered this some time ago. Luddite college football fans are amazingly in the dark. Ps. I saw The Rolling Stones in your boulder stadium. Never been to a game there.
  14. You don’t have too. That’s where your school allotment will be. You will probably be able to get those tickets at face value. Otherwise you can always enter the secondary market and sit where ever you can afford.
  15. Happens all the time I hear. Late in the game. BISON leading 49-3. Some fans are back in the tailgate lots
  16. Ah, a student of The BISON LORE! You know then that was one of the greatest, hardest hitting games ever played in Washington Grizz. I don’t have to tell you late in the first half The D2 BISON pushed the Division 1 Grizz back for a safety. The Grizz physically dominated The BISON in that half and went to the locker room leading 24-2 All time great BISON DE, Phil Hansen, in his first game as BISON color commentator said if The BISON didn’t start giving as good as they got the game was over. Well, led by Tony Stauss at QB, The HERD did all of that! Coming out thundering they stampeded over the Grizz with 23 unanswered second half points including a fake punt for a score called by The BISON Head Coach Craig Bohl. The HERD shut the Grizz out in the second half winning one of the all time great upsets ever played in Washington Grizz Stadium. It was one whale of a football game! It’s true, for one reason or another The BISON didn’t make the playoffs. As a student of The BISON LORE, you know why. On the other hand I don’t think the Grizz ever really recovered. They got their stuffing knocked out
  17. The visitors section, where most of you will be sitting, is the dark area without gold to the right
  18. Is that the same Montana The NDSU BISON boat raced in the NCAA Division 1 FCS College Football Playoffs 49-26 in front of an SRO crowd at the Fabulous Fargo Dome in 2022? https://www.espn.com/college-football/game/_/gameId/401506690 Fabulous Fargo Dome from the visitors section
  19. Good old Washington Grizz. Hasn’t changed a bit since The BISON went there in 2003 as a D2 and in front of almost 24,000 handed the #3 D1AA Montana Grizzlies a loss in a glorious upset win 25-24, which by the way my algorithm predicted https://gobison.com/sports/football/stats/2003/montana/boxscore/1349 Yes still the same
  20. True. I could buy tickets at the gas pump when in Montana too! here’s a good look at NDSUs new IPF https://www.krausanderson.com/blog/a-bison-sized-project-ndsus-nodak-insurance-football-performance-complex/
  21. I like that WAC idea. It has a lot of possibilities. It lets us own our future growth and prosperity too I don’t think there are any issues about changing conferences. Each school has different needs. UND might not be interested because of the cost of the hockey program. University South Dakota is smaller and may not be interested at all. The WAC idea could be applied to expansion in the MWC too if divisions were considered.
  22. “get out of my way you small time clown this country boy has come to town!” Commander Cody/Lost Planet Airmen Denver is a huge hassle an hour north of anything. Crappy, busy long lines hard to get in and out of and expensive to boot. That’s all major airports and they are the opposite of Hector which is right across the street from The Fabulous Fargo Dome and all other NDSU athletic facilities. it’s a breeze to embark and disembark, there are no traffic hassles abd the hotels are nice. You might even stay in the downtown radison as did Georgia Southern. GWC teams will have an easier time of it in Fargo than many of your ego satisfying big time MWC cities You big city people that can have your big hassle airports. I’ll take hector
  23. I don’t think the time has been right. They transitioned from D2 to Division 1 and football to FCS in 2005 or so. They have in that time been building facilities, budgets, media markets, endowments etc to bring them to where they are now. As you can see they have done very well, especially in football. Wrestling is in the Big 12. There was no league for NDSU when they transitioned. They started the Great West conference with South Dakota State Cal Davis, Cal Poly I think and a few other independents at the time. it was a successful league until teams, after the 5 year transition, got league invites to the Big Sky, Summit and Missouri Valley Football Conference. Now they are on a solid, proven foundation ready to move again.
