  1. Why would the Big 12 want to expand westward? Football is dying in the mountain and pacific time zones.
  2. LOL the New Mexico high desert and antebellum south have nothing in common.
  3. Like I said, I am not arguing for or against that - I’m just pointing out the cultural shift between the west and and the south when it comes to college football.
  4. https://www.dallasnews.com/sports/texas-longhorns/2020/08/11/big-ten-becomes-first-power-5-conference-to-cancel-its-2020-football-season-now-the-focus-is-on-the-big-12/?outputType=amp
  5. Right, wrong, or indifferent - this "passive" sentiment seems to be shared with the bulk of commenters on this board, whereas in Texas, that vast majority of Big 12/SEC fans are livid at the thought of no college football and the Big 12 hasn't even canceled or not canceled yet. More evidence of the increasingly considerable cultural shift when it comes to football.
  6. This would be an accurate assessment.
  7. No way in hell is Fort Worth nicer than Dallas. Fort Worth is a dump. SMU is a gorgeous campus in an upper class neighborhood. I don't know too much on UNT other than they built a nice, fairly new stadium that can be viewed from the highway. The campus overall isn't much to look at but I hear it is a party school with a large enrollment.
  8. I live in Plano I am very familiar with BEAUTIFUL Fort Worth.
  9. Fort Worth: The jewel of West Texas LOL
  10. LOL Don't be a moron. Boise State hasn't made it past the first round.

  12. How is judging a program on how far they reached in the NCAA Tournament not a measure of success?
