  1. Now waiting for an NAIA big man and and senior transfer guard from another mid major and the circle will be complete
  2. At Wyoming, Austin Conway switched from the basketball team to WR on the Football team and it worked well. He was returning punts and a productive WR his first year after the switch and by his SR season was our best WR
  3. Can’t wait to see what transfer we have incoming from directional Utah Tech….
  4. When somebody makes a big play a giant QR code will pop up on the score board and you can toss them a few bucks.
  5. I think they would have left still. Most of the guys that have transferred out have subsequently transferred from their new schools. Williams, X, Odom, and Reynolds come to mind. Football across the board seems to have less transfers than hoops.
  6. I wonder how many still would have left if we did have a better culture within the program? My gut says most of them.
  7. No that’s why I was saying the transfer portal was a bigger problem. I get that Linder being a dick head has ran some players out , but I think the portal problems run much deeper than that.
  8. Yep, no NIL or Booster money, tv money, scholarships, or fancy facilities without the fans. I get the players should have a chance to be compensated, but they are risking turning away fans with the current structure.
  9. The fans I guess. That’s the lens most of us take on forum like this.
  10. I do agree the transfer portal is the biggest issue. The only real solution to that is to consider student athletes employees and have a collective bargaining agreement between the student athletes union and the schools. Money would need to come from the schools directly instead of unaffiliated boosters, then you could lock them into longer contracts than 1 year. Independent NIL deals could still be negotiated with third parties same as in pro leagues. This is going to create a host of other problems and will drastically reduce the amount of non revenue sports.
  11. I think so, too bad, when the cowgirls won it in 2007 they hosted the championship game and the AA was standing room only.
  12. Wyoming hosts Minnesota in the great 8 on Monday. Cowgirls are NIT regulars but making a good run this year!
  13. Great hire. The Aggie AD crushes it for basketball again!
  14. It’s a good idea , makes kickoffs more interesting again while reducing those full speed collisions.
  15. Wyoming exceeded my expectations. Almost a new roster picked last in the preseason but finished 7th. They won 15 games including 8 conference. The MWC tourney was a let down laying a tired against Fresno but overall exceeded expectations. If Manyawu Combs, Newton and Cook all come back they could have some promise.
  16. Im pretty sure most people see the Aztecs as the face of the conference for hoops (outside of Vegas). SDSU would have been a 1 seed in 2020, they get the respect.
  17. Good game Fresno. Linder teams are awful in the conference tourney….
  18. Wyoming’s NIL problems run allot deeper than Linder (although he isn’t helping matters). I have not seen real numbers but I get the feeling the collective is not doing much.
  19. You are probably not wrong but in his defense he only had 1 bad year with transfers. X and JO stuck around for three years and Reynolds 2. Ike and Marcus Williams would have transferred no matter who was coach. I think this year will be telling. If Manyawu, Combs, and Wenzel all leave the we know it’s a trend.
