  1. Why did this place fall off a cliff? It’s noticeably less active this season than before
  2. Do we know how much the wcc schools are making with this deal https://wccsports.com/news/2023/8/14/general-west-coast-conference-expands-espn-relationship-with-multi-year-digital-media-rights-agreement.aspx
  3. It's important to remember that whatever comes of this is all temporary. The MW has been incredibly lucky up to this point when you think about it. Next round of consolidation will be where I think the MW gets kicked down. Possibly by being poached or just by being further marginalized by an insultingly low media deal. Anyone think there's merit in a West Coast conference without football? Sort of like what the big east has going on but in our neck of the woods.
  4. I think we're ultimately going to see two super conferences when it's all done. Maybe they'll rebrand to division A or something else to stratify more from div 1
  5. Yeah, that's definitely important. I won't pretend that the PAC as it existed would be worth 50-80m a year, but 23 is comical.
  6. USC, Washington, UCLA, and Oregon will be making up to $80 million a year after the new contract is negotiated for the B1G. Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, and Colorado will make close to $50 million a year in the BIG XII. Stanford and Cal could go to the ACC and eventually make $30-40 million a year. USC, Washington, UCLA, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Stanford, Cal, Oregon State, and Washington State were offered $23 million a year. If this isn't evidence that the networks worked together to break up the PAC then I don't know what is.
  7. As soon as he said he graduated high school I knew it was all bullsh++
  8. Most people aren't a fan of it around here. Eventually a conference or two will break away from the NCAA. These super conferences are here to stay and it's just going to get worse from here.
  9. B1G will have 18 after the PAC teams join. Big XII will have 16 as will the SEC. If the ACC expands to 18 then they'll be right in range of the other power conferences.
  10. If those rumors are true then the AAC is kinda screwed ...
  11. Someone needs to get Fresno and FAST. after that last win our price went up and at this rate only the SEC will be able to afford us
  12. The PAC calling the SEC predatory is hilariously lacking self awareness. They've been growing at the detriment of smaller conferences at an unsustainable rate without flinching because they were the beneficiaries of these new TV deals. Now that the SEC is cannibalizing the so called "power 5" and stratifying even further leaving their peers behind you hear objections. Undesirable coat tail riders like Washington State should be terrified. It's inevitable that they lose their seat at the table and I'll take an immeasurable amount of satisfaction watching them writhe in disbelief after the dust settles. "How could this happen to us? We're WSU! We have prestige, history... The apple cup!!" Get +++++ed. You're directly responsible for everything that's happening.
