Exit fees will make that very difficult for the PAC2 to pick and choose who they want. Geography also plays a part. IMO I think we’ll see a complete merger of the PAC2 and all MWC teams.

Having watched what’s transpired over the last five years, nothing would surprise me anymore.

BYU is likely at the top of the list. No one else matches their national fan support and stadium size/attendance. Dealing with them is a whole different issue.

The problem with Las Vegas is it’s a huge transient town. People have no identity or affinity to the university. Now with the Raiders, pro hockey, and possibly MLB the sports entertainment dollars will get spread even further.

If there are numerous realignments, it’s very likely the playoff scenarios will also change. If there’s a P4 they may get 8 berths with four wild cards. The wild cards don’t have to be G5 teams.
