  1. All the fans from other teams post 10 pages and they say, "oooh, UNLV fans with 12 page threads... blah, blah."
  2. 30 points in the 2nd half is sort of deplorable. Hicks shoots one time in 20 minutes. Draw something up to get him a shot or two. Whaley missed one shot the entire game, which was blocked. He only gets 6 total shots for the game. Meanwhile, Kevin sits by and watches Louis and Keylan shoot UNLV right out of that game. This is what I mean when I talk about KKs feel for the game in live action. Look at a box and force the ball to tbe hot hand. And don't let an offensive player run up and down for 20 minutes and not shoot. The defense and rebounding were also atrocious in the 2nd half. 30 points on your home floor. Ugly.
  3. Now with the home loses, I no longer think KK is safe with 19 wins. I think he needs to hit 20 or make a postseason. Sitting at 14-10 with 6 games remaining, means UNLV needs to win 4 or 5 of the remaining regular season games and 1 or 2 in the mworst tournament. Rebs could also go 3-3, win 3 at the Mack, finish with 20 wins and not see a post season. 7th or 8th in conference? I have a tough time seeing KK returning. But numerically UNLV can still end up anywhere from 4th to 9th.
  4. Or we can discuss what year Kevin will take UNLV to glory. What do you think @UNLV2001? 2025? 2026? 2065? The year 3000? Just curious.
  5. Definitely a pattern we've seen over the past three years. That's why I still can't blame the refs for usu or csewe or this one. The team does not execute well down the stretch of most games. Even some wins. Lots of undisciplined, erratic play filled with poor game planning and mental lapses. They don't create separation, they routinely let teams of any caliber back into games. The team does not handle pressurized situations well at all, almost ever. And the Rebs regularly wet the bed at home. The bigger the crowd, the bigger the egg.
  6. You think UNLV won, or lost attendance with this showing?
  7. Much bigger game for reno in that regard. But you can expect UNLV to play like their hair are on fire.
  8. Yeah, but do you know all the people who don't follow hockey at all? Along with the people who have never been to a vgk game or intend to. There are a lot of those people too.
  9. A lot of the missing attendance is just basketball fans in general, who do not see UNLV as a viable option to watch good hoops. A lot of basketball people do not follow hockey.
  10. Might lose this one. KK has owned reno and Alford, but KK has been beating mworst teams he's traditionally lost to as well. Tough three game stretch. I'm thinking 2-1 or 1-2. 3-0 would be clutch, and put the season on a completely different trajectory.
  11. Out hurt. They were missing more than those two. I think they had four players out.
  12. UNLV not getting any separation on Fresno. Depth should win UNLV this game. Should.
  13. Webster JJ3 in off the bench. No Hicks. Questionable, but vs a bad team probably get away with it.
  14. Sloppy opening. Did Fresno lose a guard for this game?
  15. I don't see where anyone stated that KK can't handle the pressure. Another strawman argument to win a made up argument? There's national pub about how hot KKs seat is. If his current situation isn't pressurized, I don't know what is. KK was angry about a flagrant foul call that was clearly a flagrant. Don't have to know anything about his mental state to see that he looked enraged. I'm good with all of it. Whatever keeps the wins coming and the program flourishing.
  16. That anger in that moment was 100% pressure of the job getting to him. Funny thing is he tried to hide it. If the pressure of each win and loss mounting is what's needed to bring out this fire, then so be it. Welcome to UNLV.
  17. Always see Maathius at the games. KK was super pissed. That was when DJ got that flagrant. If the pressure of the job has to get to him to bring out a little fire. Then so be it.
  18. I thought Nowell looked decent vs unm. He got tired quick. He needs game reps if KK can find minutes for him, his shooting could pay off.
  19. I don't know. Looking at the graph of projections from earlier and the remaining schedule, there is no guarantee that UNLV gets to 20 or even 19 wins. Including the tournament. I need to see if there are any more meltdowns or a collapse late. I doubt either happens but I can't put it past them. I need to see them close first. Then I will worry about all the ifs the offseason will bring.
  20. Mack's not going anywhere. Bball is losing money. The product will build the community.
  21. Also bigger. The first half of the season was disappointing due in large part to KK not being able to get out of his own way. Two of the teams very best players now, could not get off of the bench in favor of guys who honestly shouldn't play much. KK is doing a much better job of playing the right guys now, but like Vince says, it seems every year he buries good players on the bench and gets forced into moves due to injuries. I'm stoked about UNLV finding its groove, but there's still a lot of season left. I think 19 or 20+ wins and any postseason keeps KK in his seat. Which looks probable at this point.
  22. I think all he has to do is hit 20 wins and he's good. Even 19 wins makes a move really tough.
  23. True. But even if he backs into it, he gets the credit. He recruited the bench.
