Many fanbases would trade spots with Niners fans in a heartbeat.  Even Cowboys would rather make but lose a Super Bowl as many times as the Niners have instead of what they they have had in the same timeframe.

You're not wrong, but where I live the Niner fans are insuffarable. When they beat the Lions two weeks ago we had illegal fireworks going off in my area at 10:00 at night like it was the 4th of July. Then the next day there were street takeovers with full Niner fan cavalcades.

Mixed feelings.  I know a lot of prisoners will do anything so they can join these programs and get a little money on their books, break up the every day routine and learn some skills.  On the other hand, the wages are basically slave labor.  Kamala had prisoners fighting forest fires for a buck an hour.  That's gross.

Yup! Had to setup a base camp for fire fighters during the Zaca fire in Santa Barbara County back in 2007. We were tasked with building bunk houses (tents) for the inmates and a mess facility for them to eat in. They got paid something like $2 an hour and had to trek several miles up a damn mountain side to create the fire lines.

Zeihan can be interesting, he gets a lot of big stuff wrong, and his predictions don't have a great track record.  He's in the sensationalism business.   It's probably the only, or easiest, way to make $$ with his subject matter.  Heller is just a flat out conspiracy grifter.  Enjoy those podcasts.

Zeihan did a good interview on Joe Rogan's podcast and I was intrigued by the information he laid out. After the podcast, I went to his YouTube channel and I couldn't stand his "clickbait" style videos and immediately lost interest.

Yeah. Kind of hard to over state this fact. Modesto, Turlock are up there, but not as big. Fresno has to be in that convo too. Better than Bakersfield, but not by much.

I'm actually thinking the opposite, I think Bakersfield has become worse than Fresno now. I'm really trying to get my parents to pack up and move because of how much crime has skyrocketed in their area. I was born in Bakersfield and I moved out to go to college at Fresno State in 2006 and moved back home in 2013. Bakersfield was still reletively nice, but then I moved with my wife to Visalia in 2019. In the last 5 years, Bakersfield seems almost unrecognizable now with how much it's changed. Homeless are everywhere and there was a massive population boom with people moving in from the LA area and infrastructure can't keep up. Just last week my uncle's ring camera went off and there was a guy rummaging through his garage and he had to scare him off with his shotgun.

  5. After years of anticipation, Masters of the Air finally debuted yesterday on Apple TV and it's awesome! I don't think any war series will top Band of Brothers, but I'm really enjoying the characters so far in Master of the Air and for me, that's what made Band of Brothers so good.

And the mods out there are numerous. Both on console, AND PC. Everything from better looking clothes and weapons, to better graphics, more weapons, more ways to build up bases, new armor, etc.

I will say, New Vegas has one of the better story lines, but getting it to work/stay stable, even with mods, can be a pain. But if you're not having much trouble with the stability aspect, it really is one of the great games out there. Could really use a re-release if only to update the graphics and stabilize the game for a new generation of PCs and gamers.

Funny thing is that New Vegas is the only one I haven't played, but I've heard that it's amazing and it has the best story line. Only issue is what you stated is keeping it stable. I have it on PC, but it keeps crashing or won't boot to menu.

    Anyone played fallout?

For the last month I've been on a Fallout fix. I beat Fallout 3 last week and I'm currently playing Fallout 4. I've beaten both games multiple times before so I've been derping around using console commands and launching mini nukes at raiders.

  8. Josh Allen didn't need to play hero ball last night, but he did and that's what cost them. On the last drive he nearly threw a wide open INT, he fumbled on a scramble, Diggs missed a 65 yard bomb that should have been made (this play was on Diggs), and Allen under threw his receiver in the end zone. Rather than give the ball to Cooks who steam rolled the Chiefs all night, he decided to roll out and throw it rather than try to get extra yards and make the field goal shorter. Terrible play calling last night and the fake punt was a very stupid idea.

  9. Happy for the Packers, sad for the Cowboys. My wife is a diehard Packers fan and my dad has been a Cowboys fan since he was 10 years old. My parents drove up to our house yesterday to watch the game, we had BBQ and by the middle of the 3rd quarter my dad packed up and told us they were leaving. 🤣

If it is Hardcore Husky, they are always either just extremely disrespectful or in meltdowns.  Barkboard, AMesa or a room full of Rebel Robert's and Rebels18's would be out lassed by that board's atmosphere.  Hell, even SECRant is discussing how bad it is.....

    ...Even. SECRant...

Good to know, it gave me some fun coffee reading this morning. Lol

Well it’s not just quick exits it is also raiding the schools from where he left.  He tried to raid Fresno including having coaches still at Fresno recruit players for him.

Yep, now Washington is feeling the pain.

  12. Insane that DeBoer wants to take that job, but unsurprising after his swift exit from Fresno State for Washington. He's always eyeing for greener pastures. He will have one free year to establish himself, but if he doesn't produce by beating Auburn or making the SEC Championship by year 2 then he's out. His quick exits burn bridges, so if he doesn't cut it at Alabama then he might wind up back in FCS because nobody trusts him to stick around.

A court would strike that down pretty quick I think.  Plus, what kid wants to be locked into a school when coaches can change on a whim?

I already told you my position on coaches, they should be locked in as well. If they get hired elsewhere that's awesome, but they need to finish out the season first before moving on.

How does your January timeline work when classes start at colleges like the ones below in early January?

    University of Michigan, Jan 10.

    University of Washington, Jan 3.

    UCLA, Jan 8.

Let's be honest, are these kids really going to school to get an education if they are on the NIL money train? They are paid professionals without contracts. What about this, if you are a scholarship athlete then you are ineligible for the transfer portal and you are locked in to that school, but your tuition is paid for with an opportunity to get a college education (traditional way). If you are strictly on the NIL train then you are allowed to transfer to follow the money and can take online classes through the university, but required to pay on their own dime at a discounted price (just to show that they are enrolled for however long they are there). Literally anything would be better than the situation we have now.

I like this. Could it be that easy to just have players wait until after the season to hit the portal? Bowl games are still part of the season.

Kirby Smart coming out with his complaint after his game with Florida St was perfect. It needs to be sorted out. They want to allow these kids to transfer to other schools, ok fine, there's a good argument for that. But start putting some rules in place around it.

Is it true that players on the four playoff teams can't transfer until after their bowl game?

If they want to act like the NFL then they should treat it like the NFL. Open the portal midway through the season like a trade deadline for a week and then don't open it until midnight after the Championship game in January. It's really that simple but these experts are too stupid for that.
