  1. That book cover is a famous painting done by well known western artist Charles M. Russell. I could also read that book, it's up my alley...
  2. Shocker alert, the TV series Ozarks IS NOT actually filmed in the Ozarks (Missouri). Don't fall out of your chair...
  3. If the Captain thought offloading his crew was the necessary and right thing to do, why didn't he do it? He had the means and opportunity to do it... He was near Guam.
  4. Fresno were conference champs the year before, big whup and what's better we took the championship away from the defending champs while playing on their home turf...
  5. You don't say? How do you explain Boise St's loss to BYU last year? Who was lacking in talent last year between that match up? Must be Boise since they lost right, since you are not taking any other factors into consideration...
  6. Just don't forget a little common courtesy, when Fresno pushes BYU's shit in, they always provide the obligatory reach around. Try and be a good competitor at all times...
  7. I find it hilarious you guys think this is a filler game for BYU. Newsflash, BYU and Fresno have played each other 11 times and Fresno is ahead in the series. Just because BYU beat Boise last year doesn't mean that Fresno is going to be a push over for BYU in 2020. BYU could very easily lose that game just like they did last time Fresno played them in 2017. just laughable...
  8. well here is another thought. Kobe contracted the services of the helicopter company and pilot. The other passengers were probably considered his guests and most likely did not enter into any contractual relationship with the helicopter company since they probably were not asked to pay for the helicopter ride to Thousand Oaks. The next question, whether there were any liability waivers signed by any of the passengers to fly on the helicopter? I have seen that occur before...that could also change the whole dynamic with respect to the helicopter company and their legal exposure.
  9. I don't agree with your body bag analogy. In 2017, I would agree that Fresno was not going to be competitive with either Alabama or Washington. But Fresno can be competitive against teams like USC, UCLA, OSU, WSU, BYU, etc...going forward, last time we played BYU and UCLA we beat them...that 4-8 record last year is not indicative of what the bulldogs are capable of, they will compete for the west div title again this year. Mark it down...
  10. the new AD is ramping up Fresno's OOC scheduling, Bulldogs also have a home and home with Wash State coming up...so there is another home run you can add...
  11. no kidding, you finally said something I can agree with. I thought only teenage girls drank ginger ale?
  12. That's all you got? I was hoping for something a little more inspired. And yet I am left with this same self-indulgent diatribe from a Bronco front running bandwagon fan who has been regurgitating the same small minded and vindictive dis-information that I have heard countless times from you in the past about the bulldogs. I doubt you have ever lived in Fresno or let alone spent much time in California so your opinion regarding these areas is of little value or importance. I hope your health has improved. sincerely, SB P.S. Oh I forgot to mention what a chickenshit closet Fresno State football fan you are turning into.
  13. I don't dispute that. Just that their good is generally better than anyone else in the conference with the exception of Boise. Fresno needs to find some consistency and stability. Fresno is on their 3rd Head Coach and wholesale assistant coaching staff changes since Coach Harsin was hired in 2014.
  14. 20. But we weren't talking shit about Boise, you were talking shit about Fresno remember?
  15. Ok. let's just look at the last 20 years, within the MWC west division Fresno has had 15 winning seasons Nevada has had 11 winnings seasons Hawaii has had 10 winning seasons SDSU has had 9 winning seasons UNLV has had 2 winning seasons SJSU has had 2 winning seasons the MWC Mtn div with the exception of Boise probably looks pretty similar to the west division, so my argument still stands. Fresno is still one of the top tier teams in the conference in terms of more recent success. Even a successful program like Air Force has fewer winning seasons than Fresno over the last 20 years with 13. Wyoming has only had 6 winning seasons in the last 20 years.
  16. news flash, there is not one other school (besides Boise) that is currently a member of either the MWC or ACC conference that has a better all time winning percentage than Fresno and that includes BYU. There is also not one other school in either the MWC or ACC that has as many conference championships as Fresno with (28).
  17. How about BYU in 1984? That is about as close as a G5 will come to winning...
  18. Here are the numbers for the 14 SEC football programs (in millions): 2. Georgia: $129 million 4. Alabama: $111.1 9. Tennessee: $93.9 10. Auburn: $93.6 12. Florida: $88 14. LSU: $86.6 15. Texas A&M: $82.6 21. Arkansas: $67.9 22. South Carolina: $64.4 33. Ole Miss: $51.2 49. Kentucky: $40 59. Missouri: $31.4 60. Vanderbilt: $30.3 61. Mississippi State: $29.8 There is a HUGE FINANCIAL DISPARITY in these programs bottom line. Even in the SEC there are the haves and the have nots. And for you to suggest that these programs have all achieved the same level of success or have the same level of program support is ludicrous.
  19. There is always going to be a top school in every conference, SEC would be Alabama, B10 would be Ohio St., etc.. I don't hear them asking for any special compensation from their respective conferences because they happen to be the top team in the conference and if they left the conference it would cause irreparable harm, yada, yada, yada...If you look across the football conference landscape I don't see any other school trying to hold that over their conference like Boise St is doing..... I really hope Boise gets an opportunity to go to the AAC and takes it...so this crap goes away.
  20. Almost Half the current MWC schools weren't even members when Boise structured that deal in 2012. Fresno, Nevada, Utah State, San Jose St, and Hawaii probably had very little to say in the matter since they joined the conference after Boise did. Now maybe the other remaining limp dick school presidents agreed to the contract like New Mexico, UNLV, Wyoming, CSU, etc...
  21. Young blood, do you know how many times I have heard that the side TV revenue deal with ESPN and Boise would last through perpetuity. Well that appears to no longer be the case. Boise St should just be happy they got 6 more years of special treatment they received in this latest installment and enjoy the gravy train for a few more years. Boise State is a MWC asset no matter what you say and enjoys whatever privileges are extended to it by the conference. If Boise State is dictating terms to Thompson and he is capitulating then his sorry azz needs to be removed by the other voting school presidents. If Boise St wants to call its own shot, market it's own exclusive tv revenue deal for whatever the market will bear, go Indy, simple as that.
  22. I don't believe they want to do that. Because if they did, they would have done it already.
  23. Soup, my point is this. That side deal with ESPN that Thompson entered into with Boise is not going to keep Boise in the MWC if they want to leave. So if it wont keep them (Broncos) from leaving what purpose does it serve from a conference perspective? There is an incentive for Boise to remain but no penalty if they want to leave, like for instance if they decide to leave the MWC then have them reimburse the conference for the extra TV revenue they have received, etc..
  24. So you don't agree that Boise would leave immediately to a P5 conference if invited?
