  1. Another thing to consider: WHAT STATES PRODUCE THE MOST HEISMAN WINNERS? "The Golden State leads the way with 14 selections, including ten from the roughly 120-mile corridor that separates Los Angeles and San Diego. Two of them (John Huarte and Matt Leinart) hailed from Santa Ana’s Mater Dei High." San Diego leads the nation with four Heisman winners: Allen, Salam, Williams, and Bush. So if nothing, once players start to get paid...they'll more than likely stay home...and the NCAA will be missing out on a lot of talent....
  2. The College Dropout Crisis "We found that the list of top-performing colleges — those that exceed their expected six-year graduation rate — is diverse in almost every way. It spans colleges with expected graduation rates from 18 percent to 80 percent. It includes private colleges, like the University of La Verne, in Southern California, as well as historically black colleges like North Carolina Central and Fayetteville State. It also includes big public universities like San Diego State, New Hampshire, Virginia Tech and several branches of the State University of New York." "Take Western Kentucky University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. At both, the expected six-year graduation rate is close to 60 percent. But the actual graduation rate at U.N.L.V. is far lower than at Western Kentucky. In human terms, the difference amounts to about 500 more dropouts at U.N.L.V. each year." https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/05/23/opinion/sunday/college-graduation-rates-ranking.html?action=click&module=Opinion&pgtype=Homepage SDSU is way above average...the rest of the MWC not so much...here's looking at you UNLV......
  3. You own state says the Aztecs are the "flagship" of the MWC: 1,000 Words: Which school holds title of Mountain West basketball flagship? " THE OFFICIAL DEFINITION of “flagship” is “the best or most important thing owned or produced by a particular organization.” "If you told the MW it could protect one basketball team that couldn’t get poached from another conference, who would it pick? My guess is San Diego State, which not only brings on-court results and great crowd support but also plays in the largest media market in the MW. The argument for the second slot would be between New Mexico, Nevada and UNLV." http://nevadasportsnet.com/news/reporters/1000-words-which-school-holds-title-of-mountain-west-basketball-flagship

  9. Alright...so far...so good...the Aztecs are a second half team...no foul trouble...can be aggressive on D...we're pulling this one off.....
  10. Watson gets them every darn time with that fake.....
  11. Yep...today is gonna to be a knife fight in a phone booth for all teams...but nobody does that better than my Aztecs...we love doing it the hard way...if we shoot 35 percent...it may be a blow out...on the other side...I think Fresno is the hot team...they had a relatively easy time yesterday...players are fresh...USU...Merrill, Porter and Queta had to play like it was NCAA championship...foul problems is the key to this game...if any of the aforementioned get into early or late foul trouble...Fresno will not be as forgiving...I got my popcorn ready.....
  12. Sometimes you have to play hurt...suck it up for the team!!!
  13. I think USU is paying some administrator to get into the tourney...bad call all the way.....
