If Calford had not made the jump to the ACC then we would for sure be looking at a reconstructed PAC with several MWC schools. I will be shocked if any MWC schools still feel the same about jumping for only OSU/WSU.

Forever the life of mid-major programs. I'm just hopeful this is a ploy for a contract extension and/or more resources for his program. Or maybe he needs the school to pay for a second private golf membership to go with his first one.

This would be a big gut punch for us. He's in the top tier of coaches in the conference and has built up a lot of passion across northern Nevada for the MBB program post-Muss.

They're definitely going to hold out for as long as possible for the very slim hope that the ACC implodes in time that a reconfigured PAC could be an option. But I don't think time is on their side, so I would say probably by this time next year we hear word on some sort of merger with the MWC.

This would really suck. Notwithstanding the unfortunate tourney exit, he's really helped rebuild the MBB program to be the top sports draw in the area. Him leaving and a mass exodus of players would be a gut punch.

This one is a stinger to lose in that fashion, but I still am proud of the Pack for their efforts this season to make it to the big dance. Pulling for the rest of the MWCers to hopefully kick some ass.
