  1. Past hour
  2. SUDS does get pretty lucky a lot in the second round, but kudos to them for taking care of those teams. Those teams did upset a high seed, so it's not like they're pushovers.
  3. Did they meet or exceed your expectations ? Not sure on this one. 6th place finish in league was definitely lower than expectations, but getting in the NCAA tournament met expectations. I did not expect to win the MWC tournament though. Overall average I would say expectations were met. What was their ultimate Achilles heel ? Three point shooting and overall size, especially on the wing/perimeter. What was it about your Team that excited you? Young players in Dent, Toppin and Washington if we can keep them.
  4. Today
  5. Norvell needs a new offense. His Air Fade Offense just has too many flaws in it.
  6. UNLV isn’t respected at all, anywhere. It’s more like “Wow, it’s a shame how far UNLV has fallen, and how down they’ve been for so long. I remember when I was in HS decades ago, they were actually good.” Most people see UNLV as a tragic flash in the pan band that had their big selling #1 album and then faded to obscurity.
  7. There is no evidence. If by evidence you mean "Evidence". It's too new. And you have no evidence either. What we do know is that the MWC leadership all had their own teams internally look into what they believe is the best interest of their schools and the conference and there was a consensus minus one school. Now that does not mean we are all right and SDSU is wrong. Boise was the only school that wanted ESPN to be a partner instead of CBS Sports and it has cost the conference dearly nobody listened to Boise. We were right and you were all +++++ing stupid. Cost us prestige, recruits, and ultimately money. You were all idiots and should have listened to Boise even if it meant you got 90k less a year or whatever Maybe this is your SDSU is right and we are all +++++ing stupid moment?
  8. For SDSU LeDee breaking out like that was surprising. He stressed he didn't want the 5 but would if he needed to be, and Dutcher honored him. I am so happy to have watched what we just saw and I hope he is satisfied with his time on The Mesa. Aztecs need a true big for our style and it showed, but I am very happy with some of the things I saw with our young guys. If we keep them, we are setting up a solid future. Loved watching Heide, Saunders and Byrd gain confidence before our very eyes. I hope those who want to come back, do. Waters needs to recuperate and I think he can be so good. I am not going to slander any of my squad, they all fought every day and every game.
  9. Overachiever USU Achiever SDSU UNLV UNM As expected (but good) BSU CSU As expected Everyone else
  10. 20 to 18 doesn't make it harder it just means extra wins and losses in conference. It doesn't make it harder for teams who have high SOS based on strong NSOS, it just potentially weakens SOS of strong schedulers for the sake of weak schedulers. At what point will you show any evidence, and I mean any, that answers the question in the affirmative that this helps seeding? Those in the neutral to adverse camp have the committee citing it, the media citing, and those in the basketball world citing it, in the answer you don't like. Provide something. Anything. Using the MWC that we see how this works every year, with juked stats, then complaining about seeds we are lucky to even get, which we then squander, is not doing you favors.
  11. Blowing a 17 point leas is going to sting for a long time. That win would have made it a pretty solid year.
  12. I am with you. I wouldn't mind some reset every now and again. But I worked my way up in this country, served this country, and now own a piece of this country, and am blessed to have had the opportunity to do such a thing because of this country. A bunch of dipshits trying to make it worse won't have me stop loving this country. I am not leaving.
  13. The ACC's point is that a 20 game schedule means more losses, IE, a harder schedule. They think they will get more wins than losses against the additional 2 games, meaning going greater than 500. The additional 2 conferences games makes their schedule hard. And their logic is being laughed at by pretty much everybody
  14. Davis was finally feeling it. Witcher needed to finish the set, not go for a shot like that. He is not the reason for the L, it is a group effort, but damn.
  15. 5 seed, and it happens pretty much every year. Difference is, unlike the number one overall Alabma that SDSU beat last year, in the exact same path, UConn is just flat out great at every level.
  16. 2024 General Election: Trump vs. Biden vs. Kennedy vs. West vs. Stein Polls | RealClearPolling This shows Trump with a lead, as do the English gambling addicts. But..... Trump has like a 43% ceiling in every poll, which won't win the presidency, although to be fair, I think Biden has a low ceiling too. But Kennedy and company aren't going to pull anywhere near the votes that the polls have them at now, so something has to give. Who knows.
  17. One of the easiest paths I’ve ever seen for a 6 seed to the sweet sixteen. It did you no favors in preparing for that buzzsaw.
  18. Phucking 2001. You are a crazy lefty sonofabitch, but you are a funny guy. It startled my dog because I started laughing out loud at my computer when I read this.
  19. https://theathletic.com/5368318/2024/03/25/jim-phillips-acc-basketball-schedule/ The ACC commission makes SDSU's point, not yours. Adding more games does not benefit. The poll is does this benefit seeds. And I repeat, it does not. The committee, and the ACC commission will not disagree with that. And the MWC is not a league in the caliber of the ACC to continue to buck the committee. Fact, after now even the team that can put together any semblance of a tourney team getting curb stomped, what committee should in their right mind ever give the benefit of the doubt to this league, after doing so to negative results every single year? They won't, and they shouldn't, until this league gets their act together and play tough non-cons, and earn it.
  20. Well shit, that's the million dollar question isn't it? And I don't have a clue what the answer is, which is why I will never scoff at the devout or the atheist.
  21. I think there would be a good chance that Pitt moves to the Big 12 and with Pitt and Cincy in the Big 12, they would be set. Someone like Va Tech might slide over as well. With more additions they wouldn't be on such an island.
  22. I agree. At least he was open.
  23. True. But with so many players coming and going, there are going to be some with unusual situations. Marcus Adams Jr. is leaving BYU and will technically be picking his 4th school in a year. But I think most folks would understand given his circumstances. Because he graduated hs a year early, he'll have at least 3 if not 4 years of eligibility. https://www.ksl.com/article/50962300/he-played-1-game-at-byu-now-marcus-adams-jr-is-back-in-the-transfer-portal
