It all comes around. When this BYU team finds its feet, they'll dish it back.

I don't think we'll have to wait that long do we? I had no idea BYU fans had been the true victims in all this... Almost as much as Yoda, I guess...

For some reason, BYU fans keep showing up on the radar but I had no idea it was all just in our heads and our problem.. Silly me...

8 other fanbases in this conference are all wrong... We're used to it by now..

And please realize that until your team amounts to jack sh*t in football, no amount of smack talk or slight success in basketball will make up for what an anchor you are to the conference.

Maybe 20 years ago.

Recent history? Um, no.

And the difference between BYU and UNLV in football is a HELL of a lot greater than the difference between the two in basketball. And now we are even surpassing you in your glory sport.

I was going to give UNLV credit for a great win, but then I realized that BYU won the 2nd half, by a whopping 8 points! That makes 3 halves of basketball in which BYU beat UNLV this year, to only 1 for the Rebels. Talk about over-rated!

All these idiots want to do is talk Football during Basketball season. If that isn't proof enough about their delusions, I don't know what is.

It's also a great one-sided tool though, isn't it? Don't pretend any Rebel fan wants to get sucked into that argument with a bitter Cougar. Although to be fair, I guess we DID both beat Oregon State recently... :D

Grats Rebels on a big win. As a BYU fan, it was not much fun watching the game and knowing it was probably over after 3-4 minutes. Still, the team made me proud that they did not quit, given the barrage of three point shots made by the Rebels.

As for the official excuses...I think it was wishful thinking of alot of posters here that after the loss BYU fans would make tons of excuses. It didn't happen. It must have been a real disappointment for many of you.

It makes me feel creepy saying that after a loss. After all, I'm pretty sure Boilen has that line trademarked by now.

I definitely agree, but they could have mailed it in after going down by 29 points early in the game against a team like UNLV. BYU can play with UNLV. However, it takes 40 minutes of good play, not 35 minutes, to have a chance at the win.

kind of seems like a fan who doesn't know how to win with class. No BYU fans have made excuses for the loss.

Your team played great, congrats. I know you want a BYU excuse meltdown to relive the glory of Saturaday, but it is on to the next game. again, good game, enjoy it.

Not for me, I was pretty happy with the outcome of the excuses.. "The refs blew the game", "we were cold", "UNLV was playing out of their minds", "we still won the second half" etc..

All priceless moments in BYU excuse making from more than a few BYU fans..

We're only a few weeks away from the grandaddy excuse threads. Ones we've been hearing since 1993..

I'm excited that we have a dozen or so new "long time BYU hoops fans"/trolls here to share reality with us..

This UNLV fan appears to have selective memory. Last time I checked BYU and UNLV are even at 1-1 in 2010. All the sudden some UNLV fans have forgotten they lost to BYU.

You think BYU played 35 good minutes against UNLV? I don't. 30 maybe, but I'd say more like 25...

if that is what it was. but it wasn't. it is an easy fall back though when you realize a thread isn't going where you want it too, just call it TIC and tell everyone that they can't take a joke.

get over yourselves already. almost every BYU fan here has told you guys "great game" and yet you all still want to try and push for some epic breakdown that didn't/won't happen. you beat us at your place we beat you at ours, that's how it goes most of the time at the top of the conf.

You're joking, right? This from a BYU fan. Do I need to pull out the Max Hall-Utah post-game interview video?

Get a grip. You do realize why they are doing this don't you? Let me tell you...because it really seems to bug BYU fans. If you didn't respect UNLV basketball none of you would have replied, and if UNLV fans didn't respect BYU basketball they wouldn't be piling it on so heavy.
So can we end this silly thread now?

So there are UNLV fans stating how much better UNLV has been than BYU over the past few years, yet UNLV has not won a MWC conference title ever. BYU has won or shared the last 3. That's humorous.

And yet this Juggernaut of MWC power, BYU, has not won a tournament championship to go with those titles. I wonder what happened there? BTW SDSU beat UNLV last year in the second round so don't use the home team advantage excuse. The all powerful and mighty BYU should have won that one.

No seriously. Of course it was tic, and I would have expected a similar jab from zoobs, had we lost.

Thanks for the lesson on winning with class. I guess you don't watch your players grinning at their opponents and blowing kisses to the crowd when they are rolling in Marriott.

Also, you might learn how to move within a packed crowd without getting your panties in a wad over someone bumping into your dad. Shame on you, making your sickly father swim through that mass instead of just waiting 5 minutes for it to clear.

Red Baron...nice spin. Where did I say BYU was a "juggernaut" and "all powerful and mighty"? I was responding to the UNLV fan that had said "UNLV>BYU period", and the other fans saying UNLV is clearly a better basketball school than BYU. I think BYU and UNLV are pretty much "=". BYU wins the conference championships and can't win in the NCAA's. UNLV doesn't win the conference but wins in the NCAA's. Both have postives and negatives. I just think after the last few years it's tough to say one is clearly better than the other. But hey, keep spinning if it make you feel better.

You need to get out of the bubble... There is only one thing that matters in NCAA hoops... If the MWC does not perform in the Dance, we are left with conference battles nobody cares about except apparently BYU fans..

Utah was a conference champion last year in both regular season and the MWC Tourney... Do you think anyone in the national scene cares about that or do they remember Utah getting dusted by AZ? What about AFA? UNM?
