Give it time for them to settle down...I can't make out what they are saying.

Your team won handily. Don't get too big of an ego. Starting this thread as a fan of the winning team is weak stuff, fyi.

I think this thread was made for Italics and bluebrotha, who cannot accept defeat in a classy upstanding manner.

Keep it classy.

Meanwhile... where have the excuses been? Feel free to post even one or two examples (you won't - because you can't).

My take on the game? BYU came out and played like a bunch of goons, played weak defense the whole game, and handed UNLV a commanding lead - one that they would have had to play nearly perfect the rest of the game in order to overcome. Emery is a fluke, Miles has no inside game whatsoever, and our players - as a whole - played stupid (stupid shot selection, stupid passes, etc.)

Again, please provide for me some links to BYU excuse making.

sweet... again, just show me where I was making excuses for BYU losing. I can remember posting about BYU no longer being #1 in the conference... is that what you are referring to?

If winning the conference means we'll end up matched up against Texas A&M, I'd rather take second.

I think this thread was made for UNLV fans, celebrating what, based on this board, is their biggest win ever.

Yea, that's it.

It's our biggest win ever. Thankfully we have this thread to properly express our jubilation. Without it I'm certain we'd all be out tipping over cars and starting fires on Maryland Pkwy.

I figured, based on their performance, one of the Cougars must've had Legionnaire's Disease. After all, last time it was Mono. I'll see a strep and raise ya a Swine Flu?

Sorry your sarcasm meter is off. Mine might be off, after a bitter pill like that, but Yours definitely was.

Had Davies played, BYU would have WON! If the game would have
been postponed due to weather, BYU would be able to the play
the game at another date in the future. It is becoming clear
that BYU does not play well at T&M no matter which TEAM they
PLAY! Hmmmmmmm. Isn't the MWC Tournament held at the T&M
this year?

BYU is 0-7 against UNLV at the Thomas & Mack (including conference tournaments) in the past 4 1/2 seasons. BYU fans better hope UNLV gets matched up with SDSU in the tourney.

Can't wait to start Rebel excuse threads in September. They'll be a weekly discussion around here. Unfortunately, that's a time period where Rebel fans are in hibernation and only a few of them actually stick around. They like to show up and puff their chests during bball season like they're the Duke of the West and ignore the truly mediocre program that UNLV has been in the last 18 years or so.

I don't think I have seen a single excuse from a BYU fan. However, I have seen a lot of chest puffing from UNLV fans over a split.

If a BYU fan had started this thread he'd be pilloried by Utes, Rebels and others for arrogance etc, and all the old grievances would be run out.

Double standards are pretty convenient.

It all comes around. When this BYU team finds its feet, they'll dish it back.

There is no excuse for UNLV football. We harbor no such delusions.
