I was born and raised in San Diego and still live there. And you are absolutely correct. When it comes to sports, SDSU is a hoops school. As far as football is concerned, the Aztecs have always been irrelevant in San Diego.

AndreAztec, not only are you a poor loser but you're also the biggest troll on the board. There's so much to do in San Diego, try going outside and get a freakin' life! There is no way in hell that you're a surfer and snowboarder. But you are probably a client of the crack whore$ down on Rosecrans.

That's true to a degree, I got there in 09, and it wasn't nearly like what it is today. It took finally winning to entice students and alums back on the Mesa. Hopefully it never changes. And I wonder if this town cares about football, period. Another blackout game for the Chargers? I get it, it was a horrible contract they signed, plus game prices, but I never felt that mass appeal of the city to head to Qualcomm that you find elsewhere. People really do like the Bolt bumper stickers though.

San Diego has never been what you'd call a good sports town. Dodgers fans show up at Petco more than the Pud's fans do. I've been here a long time and have seen numerous teams come and go over the years. The great weather is supposedly the reason? Too many other things to do outdoors. I was at the Chargers game on Sunday and after that egg they laid I think they'll be more blackouts this season. But I'll still keep my Bolts decal on my truck.
