I am drafting an email to Jim Livengood that sums up my feelings and will post it here later. I have supported this team for 25 years. This is the lowest I have ever felt.

This is horrible.

I wouldn't even wish it on a UNR fan.

Rock bottom. And it sucks.

I guess that's all I have to say about UNLV football.

Call me stunned because I really thought Hauck was a smart hire.....boy was I wrong......we had Tark after y'all did, so maybe y'all should give Pat Hill a call.

I'm being dead serious. He'd be good to build the football program to a decent plateau and then y'all can get a buckaroo to replace him after that's accomplished.

I don't know if it matters who UNLV hires to coach that football team. They must have built Sam Boyd Stadium on some sacred indian burial grounds or something because that football team is cursed. Even the coaches who have had some success there go through stretches where they are absolutely horrible.

But if Rebel fans want to find someone to blame for tonight's loss, I would suggest Rebels2K3. He jumped in on the Nevada-USF thread to gloat over how we blew the game, just like how he started the infamous "Beatdown" thread in 2008 after UNLV took a 10 point lead on us. That is bad mojo.

I was considering taking UNLV up on the 2 for 1 ticket offer, but my better half had a headache all day so we opted for an easy astronomy outing out at Red Rock Canyon..........when we got in the car & heard the game was tied 14 - 14 w/ 5 mins left I said "guess we made the right call on the evening's activity........then listened to the debacle of a loss on the way home.

I have NO DESIRE to attend any of the remaining home games.

You're a good guy so I say this with the utmost sincerity.

I don't think complaining to Livengood is the best approach. He just gave Hauck an extension, thereby showing what an astute judge of coaching potential he is. So go to the top. Let your president know what a bumbling fool both this AD and football coach are. No, Livengood won't be fired too but consider this. What good will it do for Hauck to be fired if Livengood just hires another marginally qualified guy to replace him. Maybe complaining to the prez will get him to take the decision making process away from Livengood and put it in the hands of some former UNLV players who actually know a thing or two about hiring a HC.

Anyway, from somebody who's been there and done that, I feel your pain.

In another thread I said that your AD should look at FIU's HC, Cristobal. But Rutgers couldn't lure him away from FIU, so not sure UNLV would be able to.

I feel your pain. After the last 3 years with Mike Locksley I thought Lobo Football was dead for eternity. Then Davie came along and things are looking up. Yeah we just got rolled by Tejas, but the score doesn't show the improvement that UNM has made. UNLV will get the right guy. You guys have the potential to be a beast in college football. Don't quit on your team. Do everything in your power to make things better. Put pressure on the administration, encourage friends and family to go to games. Keep supporting the program. It will get better.

As bad as UNLV has been - this program has really never been this bad. We all hated Sanford, but I dont recall him ever losing to an FCS team, let alone two. We've actually declined considerably under Hauck, which I wouldn't have thought was possible after Sanford left such a mess of a program.
