Her age is more of a convenient excuse to retire. Even before this season started she was always hyped about going for another National Champinship. Now she's losing starters to the portal so she knew she couldn't build and maintain teams as before. Getting a degree from Stanford still has meaning, but the lure of money buying championships overrules that.

I suspect the real reason she retired is because Stanford made it known they're not participating in the NIL game for all sports. If they don't change their mind then they're going to get destroyed in the ACC.

You and we don't have any problems scheduling OOC teams to play in our houses. They do.

Let's get down to the real reason we're doing this. You guys have scheduling issues with OOC teams, right? They just don't want to play you at elevation, but are forced to when signing home and homes with you. That's your problem but it's being forced on us.

The reason a team needs non D-1 games is to give a team a bit of a rest and to allows player dvelopment, instead of going balls out every game against Quad 1 opponents. That will tire teams before the conference season even sstarts. That's the reason no football team plays 100% of P-5 teams in their OOC schedule.

They are students, not employees.
