Nice. Does this mean he's making the final roster?

When you accomplish something outside of finishing a book, let me know. When's the last time you saw a 2 year old fly first class in their own seat? Don't tell me about elite.

No, it means he's one of the 20 to make it to camp, hope he makes the team.

He needs to develop some semblance of post offense before he takes the jump, imo.

But who knows, Joel Anthony has had an NBA career, and Birch is more talented than him skill wise.

Probably end up in the D League, but that's no death sentence. He still has a skill set that is in demand.

Similar to Joel Anthony..........shot blocker, but with better offensive skills  - should be good for a role on some NBA team

Joel even got 2 rings out of the deal, is he still with the Celtics?

i think he can do it, there is a spot there for his skill set. good luck to him.

Yup, the Heat will look much like they did post Tim Hardaway and without Shaq or LeBron in their lineup. Probably a 25-30 win team. He will certainly have  a shot to make that roster

That's a good place to be for an athlete.  I wasn't fond of the Lebron experiment in Miami for other reasons, but I do think the Heat are a quality organization and one of the better ones in the NBA.

Maybe the Lakers can lure Riles back to right the ship.

Out of my mind for the Lobos!!

Yeah, looking into work visa stuff today hopefully but the traffic is ungodly. I knew that before I got here but that doesn't make it easy. 45 minutes to go about 5 miles is crazy. It's funny though, I watched the edited Nascar race yesterday morning in about an hour and a half and right now I'm watching the Yankees and Rays live at 7:30 on a Wednesday morning.

You are underestimating Chris Bosh and Spoelstra.

I like Bosh and I think he is a really good player. I don't think he is the carry your franchise guy. Napier is going to be pretty good but I see the Heat a player away from being a high quality team. the saving grace is the East is not the West but Miami will be behind the Cavs, Bulls, Pacers (even without PG) Washington, Toronto and Brooklyn, They will probably battle the Knicks, Hawks, and Bobcats for the final few playoff spots. They won't be Milwaukee or Philadelphia bad but they won't be a solid playoff team unless Wade is completely healthy.
