CARDINALTROJAN

MWC HAS BECOME THE WEAKEST CONFERENCE OF THE G5 AND FRESNO STATE IS NOW THE WORST G5 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY.

Recommended Posts

It's painfully obvious that the MAC, CUSA and even the SUNBELT has surpassed the MWC in the G5 rankings. The AAC is the top conference of the G5 but still pathetic compared to the P5. With 3 blowout losses to middle tier P5 schools Fresno State the 3 time MWC champ has shown that the MWC nor any of the G5 should be playing against teams from the P5. The gap is huge and insurmountable and appears to be widening.

6 points is not getting our butts whipped, that's called a competitive game.

52-13, 59-27 and 55-19 however is a butt whipping and just proves the P5 needs to split off from the G5 dregs.

What were the rushing statistics from Chestnut Hill last night? I don't recall.

BC is a P5 school so they have similar media revenue to spend on their athletes and that makes for a more competitive game. Why does the G5 with their 1-2 million each media revenue expect to compete with the P5 20-30 million media revenue.? It's obvious the P5 needs a complete total split from the G5.

USC got beat by a nobody. UCLA barely beat a TX team that was crushed by BYU and couldn't beat the top 4 MW teams. AZ would not have beaten NV in Reno.

It's not a good day for a PAC fan to be crowing. But you are not known for your intelligence, logic or reasoning skills.

Thanks for the info, very much appreciated. However, you didn't answer my question.

When a P5 team plays a G5 team they are usually blowouts with a occasional close game or upset by a motivated G5 team. When a P5 team plays another P5 team they are close with an occasional blowout that's called competitive., it's painfully obvious that the G5 is not competitive with the P5 except on rare occasions.

Boston College had 54 carries for 452 yards, 8.4 yards per carry.  The Blowjans? 29 for 20 yards, 0.7 ypc.

Those occasions happen too frequently, especially when you compare the resources of the P5 to the others. The P5 even loses to FCS teams damn near every year.

No one disputes the P5 is better. But schools like WA St, AZ, OSU or Cal would not win the MW.

After getting beat in the first 2 games of a planned 3 game series, Cal backed out of playing NV in the 3rd game, even though it would be on their home field. They didn't want to risk getting embarrassed again by a lowly GOF school three times in a row.

We aren't afraid to play P5 teams. And we win enough of those games to continue to schedule them.

In BB, how many PAC teams would be favored to win the MW? AZ, UCLA and who else?

I think one thing is for certain.  We can put the fantasy that the PAC is the strongest conference this year to bed.

It's certainly not the Big10 or ACC either.

Even though there appears to be no Elite G5 team, I actually think the gap between the P5 and G5 is closer this year than last year.

The gap is huge and insurmountable and is only widening.

Isn't the B1G 5-3 vs the MAC?  That ain't exactly huge and insurmountable.
