  1. If I read it with 1950s beatnik bongos playing in my head, it almost works.
  2. I think he is going to lose in 2024 and we will finally be done with him (at least from him being a candidate). What I hope carries into 2028 is progressives misreading the country and thinking their %$#& doesn't stink.
  3. He makes outrageous statements for sure. His policies were mostly moderate. He didn't purge the civil service. He didn't deploy the military against protestors. He didn't have a massive crackdown on immigration. He did call people names. I'm no Trumper, just pointing it out. I get pointing out anything other than Trump is the devil is anathema on this board. I am perfectly happy if progressives keep their heads buried in the sand about his appeal. I hope it carries over into 2028.
  4. January 6th is baked into the cake. Democrats can scream insurrection from the roof tops until November, but folks have made their minds up on that. I think Biden has two problems. 1). He is not just old, he looks, acts, moves etc., like an old man. 2) Trump leads Biden on the biggest issues of the day (crime, economy, immigration). Trump also holds fairly moderate views. It is not like he is some hard line conservative. I still think Biden ends up winning. I wish the party were nominating someone else because it probably would have been a comfortable win for nearly any of the other candidates.
  5. Do they? How many viewers do they lose if they leave 70% of teams behind? The 70% are not going to stop playing football. I am not so sure the SEC/B1G product will be the best in terms of drama and entertainment.
  6. I think all of the other P4 and G5 conferences should call their bluff. Don't agree to it. Let them split off. It won't happen because everyone is afraid of life without them, but I really wish it would. I am not sure they make as much money by themselves.
  7. That is what I was thinking. My only disappointment reading about that was the list was not 5 schools and BYU was on the list.
  8. Good post. IMO, WSU should not hitch its wagon to Stanford/Cal. Even after everything that has happened, I think Stanford still continues to misread the room. The way they continue to think is what killed the PAC in the first place. Its like CAL is suddenly on the spectrum and has lost the ability to communicate or interact with others.
  9. I think it will be fascinating to see what starts happening in the ACC with regards to the NC States and Syracuses of that conference. You just watched UO and UT leave without any regard for those left behind. You just watched USC, UCLA, UO, and UW leave without any regard for those left behind. Have these less prominent teams learned the lesson? Don't appease the teams like FSU. They are going to leave. If the ACC deal allows for expansion, I would think the serfs should rise up if they can and allow expansion so your league has a hope of surviving. Appeasement just leaves you holding the empty bag.
  10. I think this. Would it really be that bad if the top 40 programs split off? I can think of many ways college football gets better again if the really huge dollars leave. I also think the Alabamas and Ohio States of college football should be very careful what they wish for.
  11. Well, they got their wish. They are not in a conference with us.
  12. He was the #1 poster on this thread up until last week. So much for his tough guy, I don't care schtick.
  13. I think they decided a NATO style alliance wasn't working. Looks like they may be eyeing something more along the lines of the Warsaw Pact.
  14. LOLs. It wasn't good. I get why you want to keep on believing or at least refuse to even try to read the tea leaves. I would too if BYU was in the same boat. I get it. I absolutely get it, but you are sounding like UteNation before he mysteriously stopped posting on this thread. All is not well in PAC land.
