  1. I haven't been in that area recently, so unless it is has changed, my view is the problem with the Nellis area, is you are quickly into a pretty rough neighborhood, plus it is pretty hard to get anywhere in the Valley from there.
  2. I take back every bad thing I said about Guns n Roses... nice threads...
  3. Interesting. I think a person can be a dick and still be a good person. If fact, I don't think I have encountered anyone here, besides maybe Maynard or SteveAztec, who I thought was actually a bad person. Maybe a couple Boise fans way back who showed themselves to be completely unhinged. GoodWillHunting guy and that Lycan guy. I don't agree with a lot of Salina's takes, but I don't think he is a bad person.
  4. ergo @SalinasSpartan is not a decent person? Or a great dad?
  5. The flip side is "states rights" also led to civils rights. Two sides to every coin.
  6. I didn't say Bob's views should not be tolerated. Nor would I say left wing extremists views should not be tolerated. I am not sure why you would think Bob's views are "too much for (me)". I think they are comically ignorant. I do get much entertainment from them. All views should be tolerated and welcomed. But I do think it is interesting to see who came to rally for Bob and nothing wrong with speculating as to why.
  7. With Bob as the poster child for right-wing extremism, they cannot be labeled as such if they make a show of attempting to moderate his view? By adding Bob, we just increased our population of "Centrists."
  8. As I stated in another thread, the Puritanical is alive and well in America. It just migrated from New England to the deep South in the last 300 yrs. And yes that position is completely antithetical to Libertarian values. Apparently the State is not supposed to interfere with individual freedom of choice, unless it is something I don't like ("irresponsible" sexual activity). It ends up coming back to "punish the whores," just packaged with the veneer of "saving babies."
  9. For the political philosophers, States don't have rights.
  10. This is a reasonable and responsible take. Coming Soon: "The Southern Nevada Water Authority, in its latest water conservation measure, is currently looking into local laws to require households of more than 1 person to shower together." Joe Biden might be the most environmentally responsible President since TR.
