  1. Dallas is a city full of front-runners. If SMU starts having some success, Ford Stadium will be busting at the seams. And if there was a university booster group that knows how to pay its talent well, it's SMU.
  2. Remember that in the era of Pony Excess, SMU was playing its home games at the old Texas Stadium, and not the on-campus dump, then called Ownby. What we're gonna see out of SMU in the next decade or so of NIL is gonna make even Eric Dickerson and Craig James blush. (CJK5H, by the way.) SMU is putting $250M into the on-campus replacement for Ownby, but I can definitely see SMU playing their home games against Clemson or Miami or Florida State at JerryWorld.
  3. So now UNR is out, but Hawaii (Football Only) is in, as is Wichita State (non-FB). Oh, and USAFA non-FB? Chinga te, cabrones. I swear dude has a Keno ball machine filled up with all the various schools of the MWC and ACK and MVC that he likes, and he just rolls the bones and picks them out 12 at a time.
  4. Jeebus Suffering Fvck. SUDS managed to withdraw from the MWC, get smacked around by Gloria's lawyers, and retract their "intent" to withdraw in the space of roughly two weeks' time. And now, with months if not years of lead notice, and with potentially tens of millions of dollars at stake, the PAC still doesn't know if it is currently the PAC-12 or the PAC-2, nor do they know who is actually making decisions for the conference. I'm astonished that conference has lasted as long as it did.
  5. This is the language of the MWC by-laws. Now, I suppose a group of four MWC schools could theoretically kamikaze the conference by not accepting any new media contract to take effect after the current one expires after the '25-'26 school year so as to avoid the possibility of an exit fee - but that would not be possible until the end of the '26-'27 school year - "the preceding year". Then again, there may be a "continuance" clause in the media rights contract that says that the existing terms of the contract will continue until such time as either a) a new contract extension is signed, or b) one or both parties timely notices the others of their desire to terminate the contract. Either way, waiting for or even possibly even engineering the end of the media contract in order to get out of an exit fee would be a hell of a thing to explain to the non-FB athletes and parents and supporters.
  6. Imma just leave this right here... You were saying something about "old lady that hit the wall about 8 years ago"?
  7. I think there are 22 D-Line and O-Line coaches who would gladly chip in.
  8. UNLV Football all-time record: 250-374-4 (.401) NAU Football all-time record: 452-447-23 (.503) SUU Football all-time record: 237-299-10 (.443) Seems to me either NAU or SUU would be a better football candidate for a new MWC-PAC conference than UNLV, but that ain't my choice to make. Fortunately for the MWC, it ain't your choice to make either. Serious - did you get kicked off of a plane at SJC or something? Get ghosted from an online chat session by a teenager from Sunnyvale? Bad haircut from the Rock-And-Roll Barber? Spend one too many nights on Hotel 22? I really am curious about the source of your hatred for SJSU. Well, besides our historical football ownership of, and overall better post-graduate employment outcomes than your Fine Institution of Higher Learning.
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this may be the first time he's ever included UNR in his anti-SJSU fever dream.
  10. If all you care about is the future, then write to your regents and take your sorry butts indy like (*spit*) BYU (*spit*) did. Don't you have another AAC or XII graphic to make?
  11. Outside of basketball, been that way ever since Nevada Southern was founded.
