  1. I in the same camp. Not really sure how this one will go. I guess is depends in part on how well the coaches did/do refocusing the team after an exciting win @ BYU. I've only seen a little of Hawaii this season, but their defense has impressed me, and looks like a physical group. This one could be low scoring and ugly, which would tilt it a bit in Hawaii's favor IMO.
  2. Why didn't you slap Fajardo around in 2012?
  3. How'd he become the backup? Injuries? Was chow planning to convert him to TE initially?
  4. Are you going to sacrifice a chicken before the game?
  5. Just thought Chow's comment was interesting. Sounds like he definitely plans to play him at some point. Is Reilly more of a prototypical pocket passer? Seems like Chow has had trouble finding the right QB to fit his pro style offense.
  6. Chow commented that he has no plans to redshirt Reilly. Found his statement kind of curious, and even though Woolsey is starting, I wonder if he might get on the field vs Nevada. What do Hawaii fans think about this kid? http://www.rgj.com/story/sports/college/nevada/2014/10/21/woolsey-expected-start-qb-nevada/17695297/ "Beau Reilly, a 22-year-old freshman, took most of the No. 1 reps last week. He has not appeared in a game this season. But head coach Norm Chow said there are no plans to redshirt Reilly this season. Reilly signed with UH in April after serving a two-year church mission."
  7. With Hawaii's defense playing pretty solid, it could be an ugly low scoring game, which would make it especially tough to cover 9.5 points. Nevada's had enough nail biters the last few games, it would be nice to see them cruise to a 2 or 3 score win @ Hawaii.
  8. Not so fast, I'm not convinced. With the late game in Provo, and Nevada leaving for the Islands on Thursday, creates a really short week of preparation for the Hawaii game. We also have a few key players who are nursing some injuries. This game makes me nervous.
  9. I'm really interested to see the first selection committee rankings. Not sure when they come out, but I figure the first one should be out in 2 or 3 weeks?
  10. It always makes me nervous when Nevada visits the islands. The point spread is meaningless.
  11. Still a lot of conference games remaining, and IMHO it's too early to know who the top 2 or 3 teams are. I kind of like this season, not really knowing what to expect from week to week. Teams are at different points in their conference schedules, with some having tougher games early, and others have yet to hit the tough part of their conference schedule. It might be 2 or 3 more weeks before we have a good idea of who the favorites are.
  12. They're not in a G5 conference, which makes them a non P5 independent. Can I ask the reason you started a thread to ask people their opinion of who the top 5 G5 teams are? Because I was under the impression it was to see what people's thoughts are at this time, on what G5 team could possibly be the highest ranked conference champion at the end of the season, and receive the G5 access bowl spot. If not, you can always have people rank who they think the top 5 non P5 teams are.
  13. If Memphis doesn't make a bowl game, the HC should be fired immediately after the season ends. The only decent team remaining of their schedule is Temple, the rest are garbage, so a bowl appearance appears likely at this point.
  14. BYU can't get the G5 access bowl bid, as it goes to the highest ranked conference champion. So why list them? Just curious.
