  1. The sooner the field gets to 16, the better off everyone will be.

Congrats to your Coogs, Kev. Eventhough we might benefit from a UH loss to USM, I am still pulling for Houston to go undefeated and bust the BCS. It's you guy's year, you have the players, the coach, in the right conference, and now, the right amount of fan support too. Best of luck and Go Coogs!

This pic that you reference is, of course, from the stadium opening night against Houston. Even in a brand new 30,000 seat stadium the MeanGreen failed to sell it out and settled for 28,000, most of which left early due to the beating UH was administering to UNT. Since this opening game, the crowds at UNT's Apology Stadium have been less than 20,000 and the Fla. Atlantic game had an SMU like 13,000 in attendance. UNT, like SMU, pads their attendance numbers.

You can add UNT if you want more empty stadium pics like SMU's. At least SMU is rich and has George W. and Laura as fans. UNT has ...........well............no one, actually!

The really sad thing is that at SMU they pad their attendance numbers so there were not even 14k there. People think it's a really small school but it is larger than TCU with a student body somewhere over 10k. Tulane is in the exact same situation in New Orleans. Dallas is just a pro sports city and does not support SMU. Maybe after the death penalty they should have just concentrated on basketball. They, like Rice, have enough money to do whatever they want to do though. Their football team is good and they deserve better support than they are getting.

Now, now, little MeanieGreenie. You had better be careful on this board or the big Kahunas at UNT will have another noodlin pond meetin and slap your paw again.

I drove over to the game from Ft. Worth cause I had nothing else to do today. An SMU fan gave me a ticket for nothing outside the stadium. It was cold and windy. There may have been 5,000 people in the stands at some point during the game. They even shut down most of the concessions after half time. Pretty sad but that is exactly why I try to go to a game or two of theirs every year and UNT also. DFW needs to support their teams better. At least at SMU it is a fan freindly environment which cannot be said of UNT.
  8. I thought the west side (I think) looked pretty full on TV. The other side was kinda empty but endzone looked full. I guess Reno and Las Vegas are just not college football towns.
  9. I always wondered what Tallgrass looked like.
  10. No real reason to add anyone right now. Let things settle a bit first. Later we can see who fits best and how the divisions would shakeout if we go to 12 and a championship game. The money has to be right to expand and Il'l just bet that it won't be.
