  1. Any chance some school see an opportunity to create a new conference, a Big 12-lite? Stanford Cal Washington State Oregon State Fresno State San Diego State UNLV Boise State Colorado State Memphis SMU UTSA Maybe remove Stan/Cal...can't see them "lowering themselves" to something like this.
  2. Again...no offense to those schools, but I don't see what value SDSU and Boise State bring the Big 12. Enough value where the other schools are willing to split their pie 14 ways instead of 12. If we knew Boise was going to return to the level of 2007-10, I'd understand, but they haven't come close to that level in seven years.
  3. Again, I don't get why the Big 12 would be interested in adding Boise and SDSU. They looked at them 5 years ago (along with many others) and decided then they were going to benefit the Big 12. Fast forward to 2021 and the Big 12 decides to replace its 2 flagship schools with 4 other schools to go back to 12. They didn't think Boise and/or SDSU would be a benefit to them to get to 12 in 2016, now they think it's a good idea to add them to get to 14 in 2021? What am I missing? Reminds me of Norm MacDonald's monologue when he returned to SNL as host...you didn't think I was funny before, but now all the sudden I'm good enough to host? How did I suddenly get so funny? Then it occurred to me, I haven't gotten funnier, the show has gotten really bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofXxinOtPiQ Boise and SDSU are Norm MacDonald. SNL is the Big 12.
  4. Add Memphis and SMU as full members Add Gonzaga and Wichita State as non-football members Why wasn't this done weeks ago? You have the AAC on the ropes. Go for the KO.
  5. Easy to say now, but in hindsight should have stayed at CSU for another year or two. Could have had a really special season with that 2012-13 team which would have landed him a much better basketball job. There is a reason why Nebraska has never had sustained success in men's basketball. I don't think Pitino could win there.
  6. But wouldn't that mean Nebraska would have to pay the exit penalty too? I don't see Nebraska losing $9 M to throw a bone to the left behinds.
