  1. Let me make it easy. No need for “Turd of the week”. It’s Air Force. No matter what the other teams in the conference does today.
  2. Sorry, but I can’t see San Jose being considered that good. Air Force beat them by a boat load. Three of their games they gave up 40-50+ points. I think their record is accurate. Against the bottom of the conference they are ok. Against anyone else they aren’t good.
  3. 1. Air Force: Until they lose, they have to be #1. With Army and Hawaii the next 2 weeks, they will probably be 10-0 soon. Should make for an interesting UNLoVed and Boise State games. 2. Fresno: However, UNLoVed had plenty of opportunities to win yesterday. Not sure if UNLoVed is good or if Fresno isn't as good. 3. UNLoVed: Because they have the better overall record 4. Boise State: Would have been Wyoming for their overall record; but after yesterday's game..... I can't give it to Wyoming 5. Wyoming: They have the better overall record vs SJSU, plus I don't think SJSU is anything. 6. San Jose State: The only reason they have a decent conference record is because their 3 conference wins are against New Mexico, Utah State, and Hawaii. Well "NO $H*T". Every team will get at least 3 conference wins if playing them. (Unless it's against each other) 7. Colorado State: Technically they are below the likes of Nevada and utah State, but I can see that they are getting better each game. A little inconsistent, but they are going in the right direction. No matter their record. Border war this coming weekend is going to be good. 8-12: Nevada; Utah State; New Mexico, San Diego, Hawaii. Doesn't matter the order for these teams. There's still 4 games left in the season. They can and probably will win a couple. Especially if against each other. But they are all too inconsistent to give an accurate rating.
  4. Another Air Force win in the books. Tied school record of 13 consecutive wins. Now.... just gotta beat Army next week in Denver at Mile High Stadium. Weather suppose to be in the 50's. Much better than tonight's game.
  5. Personally, I think; and hope; that vegas is correct on this. Air Force by 14 and the Over/Under at 47. If they are, the score should be around AFA-30 CSU-16 But, because of the weather, it's going to be brutal, I would take the UNDER 47, and not quite sure if air force gets the 14. My PERSONAL PREDICTION: Air Force = 24 (3TD and 1FG) CSU = 10 (1 TD and 1FG) But this is why the game is played..... Because we NEVER KNOW!!!!
  6. The cold and wind will definitely make the defense more important. So I will restate.... Air Force Academy - #2 Total Defense in the country (Out of 133) vs Colorado State University - #131 Total Defense in the country (Out of 133) It won't be a matter of "if CSU can win"..... It will be a matter of "will Air Force Lose"
  7. Same here, when we beat UNLV for a 12-0 season, 13-0 conference champions, and winner of the Fiesta bowl. On a side note. It would be crazy if we play UNLV, then 2 weeks later have to play them again for the conference championship. But they, Wyoming, and Fresno are all in the hunt too. It’s going to be a crazy 5 weeks to see who comes out on top. Hope it’s Air Force.
  8. If you look at team stats, it's pretty compelling. Total Defense Stats. Air Force: #2 in the country (Out of 133) Colorado State: #2 FROM THE BOTTOM (Out of 133) (Flipping back and forth with Reno Nevada) Both teams are in the pseudo middle of the pack when it comes to offense. (CSU Slightly highter than Air Force) Bottom line is: Air Force will score; and they will do it on the ground. CSU can't stop that. If Air Force puts ANY PRESSURE on the CSU QB, the game will be a decisive win for Air Force. Only Air Force can lose this game for themselves. It's not a matter of, Can CSU beat Air Force.... It's a matter of, WILL Air Force beat Air Force. "Kick @$$ FALCO(n)"
  9. 8 undefeated teams left Air Force (7-0) ranked #19
  10. Kirby, I understand teasing. But I also know some of the cowboys and their feelings for the Air Force coach. Especially after the Christiansen days. I live in Cheyenne, and have lived in Wyoming most of my life. So while I’m a deep blue Air Force fan, I definitely understand the cowboys. (Who I normally root for and support, unless playing Air Force.)
  11. The number one team in the country that knows our plays better than any other team… include Wyoming and the rest of the MWC… and you think we should let navy know all our strengths and weaknesses. Typical cowboy mentality.
  12. Not yet. Seems to be a foot/ankle issue. We will know more in a day or two
  13. If our QB1 is healthy and plays, we might see more passing. With army and navy so use to us and our run, it would definitely play havoc on navy’s defense if we did some play action and not just third and long. We’ve shown we do have a passing game when needed. All depends on which Coach Calhoun shows up for the game.
  14. Well, I don’t think much needs to be detailed why, so make it brief. 1. Air Force: ranked #22 nationally and undefeated all around. 2. Cowboys: beat Fresno and played the academy tough. 3. UNLV: they are still undefeated in conference. 4.Fresno: they are tough 5. Boise: yes, CSU beat them, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally. 6. Utah State: they are still the best of what’s left. 7. Colorado State: if not for beating Boise, they’d be much lower. 8/9. SJSU and SDSU: because they suck less than the rest 10/11. UNM and Hawaii: because you aren’t Reno. 12. Reno: because there isn’t a #13 and Our Lady of Perpetual Glory isn’t playing this year because they had biological men on their girls basketball team.
