  1. where are they getting the water?
  2. GOP has no clue. Florida they passed a strict law in immigrants working there and then when they started leaving they backpedaled and said please stay it would not be enforced. We were just kidding and playing politics. https://www.npr.org/2023/06/07/1180646146/florida-immigration-law-sb-1718-republican-lawmakers "Had the bill been intended to be fully enforced, it would have included funding for enforcement, according to Roth. "So that's why I'm trying to tell people that it's more of a political bill than policy." NATIONAL Why Florida's new immigration law is troubling businesses and workers alike During a faith-based event addressing the implications of the new law on Monday, Roth was captured on video urging attendees not to leave the state despite the bill's intimidating language. "This bill is 100 percent supposed to scare you," Roth said. "I'm a farmer and the farmers are mad as hell. We are losing employees that are already starting to move to Georgia and other states. It's urgent that you talk to all your other people and convince them that you have resources, state representatives, other people that can explain the bill to you."
  3. Israel has developed its own missile defense systems called the arrow and sling. I am sure there is a lot of US technology in there..
  4. Crossing the US border and asking a US border guard for asylum is legal in the US and that is what they are doing. System is overwhelmed and nobody, including thew GOP want to do much as it is a political issue. We need a seasonal US guest worker program in place
  5. I know I don't comment as I simply don't know enough about the subject to offer an informed option. I have seen these kids struggle in my classroom and they really are not getting a lot of the help they need. But that help is complicated.
  6. I Also don't think the whole liberal/conservative labels apply at all anymore. So many people cross back and forth based on the issue. Straight party line voting is killing this country. We really need another option to make people look at issues and their impact on them and not just party labels
  7. actually like the idea of the grants for the low income groups who want a degree. Then use the gov as a backstop to private loans with interest conditions on the private lenders. Need to prevent predatory lending like we have seen in the past. The bloat and growth in University administration staff has been huge
  8. Cali to Ark story https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/john-calipari-nearing-agreement-with-arkansas-kentucky-coach-taking-over-razorbacks-is-imminent/
  9. CSU guys said the MWC BB coaches said no based on reports from that AD office
  10. several reports were that the mWC said no
  11. it is amazing what they pay in federal taxes. Be a big hit to Federal budgets
  12. True and Trump can put tariffs on them. too funny to just kiss off that tax base
  13. Wilner and his article for one https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2024/apr/01/pac-12-survival-tallying-the-cash-available-to-was/ Rose Bowl revenue In addition to football playoff payments, the Cougars and Beavers have sole access to the terms of the Rose Bowl’s agreement with the Pac-12, its longtime partner. That deal remains in place for the next two seasons, to coincide with the playoff’s contract cycle. And it’s a whopper: The Pac-12 receives approximately $50 million annually as part of the agreement with the Granddaddy. The math: $50 million for two years is $100 million.
  14. true, but to get the 12 team expansion through they had to agree to pay the PAC and BIG the rose bowl payouts regardless of any affiliation. Remember it had to be an unanimous vote. At least according to OSU fans on this topic
