  1. Here are the KenPom odds. It’s damn near a coins toss tournament; especially for Nevada, Boise State, New Mexico, and Colorado state. Utah state gets a better draw in the quarters and San Diego State rates a bit higher, so their odds drift a bit from that trend- semis 50%, final 25%, champion 12.5%.
  2. SDSU is an absolute lock. They will not be left out even if they lose to UNLV and enter on a 3 game losing streak.
  3. Agreed. Production for this game has been subpar.
  4. I think they called an offensive foul on Anderson driving to the basket. Then Leon voiced his opinion on the call and got T’d.
  5. I wouldn’t worry about that just yet. The NET ratings are a bit whacky in early December. They really shouldn’t be released until January when there is more data to work with.
  6. OK. “They” can disagree all they want. That doesn’t change my opinion that a team that wins an 18 game regular season is more deserving of an auto bid than a team that wins a 3 game tournament.
  7. Maybe in response to this change, the traditional one-bid leagues will start awarding their NCAA auto-bid to the regular season champion. That part would be a good change, IMO.
  8. Perhaps, Wilson can be a successful head coach, but I think it is nearly certain that this staff, as a whole, cannot/will not be. And I don’t think Nevada can afford to let him try again with a different group of assistants. Maybe he sealed his fate before getting started by assembling a staff that almost entirely consisted of people with Nevada ties. From a far outside perspective it sure looks like there was a concerted effort to get the ‘Nevada gang’ back together (but maybe the candidate pool stunk). Yes, the cupboard was bare but this year’s team could end up being worse than last year’s and both sides of the ball are equally terrible.
  9. An upgrade at QB (at every position probably)may be needed, but he wasn’t the problem yesterday. He had a hand in 85% of Nevada’s offensive production (yardage wise). That defense was terrible.
  10. At least that one is continuous across the lip. Ali's appears to have "Stopped the Growth" in the middle.
  11. What's more divided: American politics or Ali's mustache?
  12. In the first 15 minutes: They compare the number of COVID-19 deaths currently to the hundreds of thousands to millions without mentioning the time scale of said model predictions. They do not mention if they tested 5000 random people or 5000 symptomatic and/or exposed people and likewise for the testing numbers of the various states and countries. Important for the extrapolations they make. Compare COVID-19 deaths in three months to flu deaths PER YEAR Gloss over the 4x difference in the percentage of positive cases between Norway and Sweden and the 5x difference in deaths per 1 million people. They just imply both numbers are very small and, thus, the differences are "statistically insignificant". That is not the definition of statistically insignificant. Why should we trust these two guys, whose job is to treat and stabilize people in an Emergency Departments over epidemiologists whose job is to perform statistical analyses like the one these two haphazardly tried to do?
