OT - Incident in Australia

Recommended Posts

Back in the mid-90's I spent 6 months traveling in Oz and attended two ARF games, and its pretty much anything goes. But yes, this would be considered above and beyond.

I know Aussie Rules Football can look like semi-organized mayhem but, I am going to guess that is against the rules.

So which was the bigger cheap shot, Exhibit A (above) or exhibit B http://www.extremesportclips.com/video/114...lius-Hodge.html ?

The first hit is definitely worse. That was just crazy. Those guys are pretty tough. It's kinda funny to see how nonchalant the announcers are about something like that. If that was the NBA or college bball we would have season long suspensions.

Ha! That big dude, number 1, the bald guy, seems like one tough dude. He didn't budge for anything.

What is the difference between Aussie rules Football and Rugby? It looks the same to me.

Rugby has to be the second toughest sport on the planet, second to Football, and even that is debatable.

I read that number 1 Barry Hall did get a seven game suspension for that hit. He also broke his hand later in the game...talk about Karma. I looked him up on Wiki and he is big. They have him at 6'5" and 225 pounds. I could see him playing any number of positions in the NFL with that size and build.
