Figures. Their students have no idea what level these two schools were when they were attending high school. I suppose ignorance has its privilegies.

I think you are off just a bit.... Louisville is a very bad defensive team this year. It's not like they were really good last #40 320.46 YPG and #17 16.3 PPG (scoring D was good, bend and don't break). But Louisville had to replace 7 of their 11 starter, that's very hard to do... Louisville's O is running about the same 2006- #2 475.31 YPG and #4 37.77 PPG vs 2007 so far- #2 595.40 YPG and #7 45.80 PPG. As you can clearly see the O is rolling but the D really, really stinks!!!

Your statement completely proves why any preseason ranking should be taken with a grain of salt. Preseason polls are 100% worthless in terms of on the field play.

The true irony of it is Louisville fans (including Maize himself) tossing around the "Mid-Major" label as a derogatory term for their team and Utah when they themselves were "Mid-Major" just a few years ago. Do ya think the move to the Big East hyper-inflated some egos? Just lost a lot of respect for Louisville fans. Way to forget your roots after only a few short seasons. You should ALL know better.

True, I was impressed by that. And UCONN fans thinking they're anything but mediocre is laughable at best. Filling your "W" column with crap doesn't make you a good team. It makes you competition with Boise St for the coveted title of "King of the Cupcakes". ;)

Wow... If there is any BCS fan base in America that should respect the better "mid-Major" teams it is Louisville... The sort of arrogance they display is just remarkable... They seem ignorant of their own history.

The way I see it, Utah is a BCS team. LVille, West Virginia, and Pitt are BCS teams. They have all played in BCS bowls. UConn, South Florida, and pretty much the rest of the Big East are not BCS yet. Bosie St. is, the rest of us in the MWC are not, unfortunately. However, I think BYU should be an honorary member since it was our championship that changed college football and started the bowl alliance.

UConn's only had a 1-A program for just a handful of years now. Less than 10, I think. They only got pulled into the Big Least because of their basketball team and the fact that they were already BE members.

Odd? Nah, CONSISTENT is the better word. The WAC is horrible against the BCS and always has been. Thank goodness for SJSU, Idaho, LaTech, USU, and NMSt to pad the "W" column. Boise fans can have their one MWC team as well. Still doesn't erase the fact that they've piled up wins over horrible teams.

Well you can't really blame the broncos for the deeds of its conference members. All they can do is play the games as they come.

Besides, its not like the Boise St president hasn't made it clear he would accept an offer to change conferences if one was forthcoming. The broncos aren't exactly hiding out in the WAC.
