If we add, it will be UNT and Rice (You have to look at from a University President lens). Houston and Dallas markets, both R1 schools, Rice is AAU, Both have money and will agree to upgrade their programs.
We’ll get close to 7 million per school in TV revenue if we stay at 10 and Hawaii becomes a full member. When our contract is up we’ll revisit expansion. There will be 9 conference games in football and 18 in BB.
The benefit of staying at 10 is we keep our media contract it would move from 5.3 to 6.2 million per team and if Hawaii keeps its TV deal it would be 7 mil per team.
My guess is BYU and Cincy will be added when OU/T leave. They’re the 2 strongest candidates. This gives them time to decide whether to go east or west in 25.
