Noitce all the d1aa draftees?

Actually, not so crazy. Good football players come from all over. Just because the guy played at the 1AA level doesn't mean he can't play. Some outstanding NFL players came from the lower levels of college football: Jerry Rice (Mississippi Valley St), Steve McNair (Alcorn St.), Jon Kitna (Central Washington, NAIA I think, not sure he can be considered legendary, but he's had a very long and distinguished career), Kurt Warner, Anthony Henry (South Florida was still 1AA when he was drafted), Leigh Bodden (Duquesne), Walter Payton (Jackson St.), Vincent Jackson (Northern Colorado, starting to come into his own with the Chargers, 2nd round pick), Derrick Ward (NY Giants from Ottawa University in Kansas, had some monster games in the Giants' run through the Super Bowl)......many, many more.

Most of these guys were late bloomers and were either overlooked as high school players or simply hadn't grown into their bodies and matured entering college or were simply missed by the big boys. That's why the NFL scouts have jobs, to identify players like these. A lot of these players turn out to be better than their big school counterparts.
