Christian signs first recruit to TCU

Recommended Posts

6-6 JUCO SF Edvinas Ruzgas a Lithuanian that played the last two years at Weatherford, TX JC signed a letter of intent today with TCU. He was a first team All North Texas Junior College Athletic Association and NJCAA Region V selection. Ruzgas averaged 19.2 points per game last season on 61.2% shooting from the field, 84.3% from the line, and over 50% from 3 point range.

Could not find any other information about who offered the kid, but did find threads that mentioned him being recruited by Utah State, UTEP, Seton Hall, and Mercer among others.

Sounds like a good get. That first recruiting class is always tough. You come into a new school when most of the top recruits have been picked over already. The good thing is that Texas is such a hot spot for recruiting there seems to always be unsigned talent there. Any word on whether some of Christian's recruits from Kent State are going to follow him?

Ronnie Moss a 3 star guard from a prep school in Mississippi (originally from North Crowley High School about 15 minutes from TCU) had signed a LOI with Kent State but was released from that LOI a week or so ago. I think TCU has a very good chance at signing Moss, which would give us 5 in this class if all of Dougherty's signed LOIs stay on board.
