  1. This was one of the worst collapses I've ever seen by a MW team. Really pathetic Wolf Pack...
  2. So, if Fresno State wins this weekend... could we potentially see three MW teams ranked?
  3. The Facebook pages are actually pretty sad..whenever they post something, they get a handful of replies and that's it....not surprised it's ranked so low in these rankings.
  4. Nothing wrong with having confidence. Hell, we got fans on Barkboard talking about how the Dogs are going to get into a NY 6 bowl this year...
  5. Don't get me wrong, I want Fresno State to do as good as they can in basketball...but to see Nevada in all these preseason Top 10 talks is awesome. Gives me a sense of pride for the MW. Especially because Nevada isn't even consider the more "popular" school in their own state.
  6. They have a point though. Should have heard the Fresno fans in our section last night at the game. They all acknowledged this win might actually HURT our SOS... UCLA is just terrible.
  7. Is anyone going to mention the fact that the article has a picture of Coach DeRuyter on the image of the team running out from the tunnel? I mean, WTF?
  8. These topics are stupid because they always turn into an argument of why YOUR school deserves to stay and someone else's should be kicked out. As someone else pointed out, there's nothing wrong with the current MW, we just need the schools to step it up. The MW has the best D1 schools available right now. Nevada winning the MW was good for our conference, it's just too bad they became a one and done like Fresno State. But what we need is for UNLV, New Mexico, and SDSU to get back to those glory days of being a consistent threat in basketball. On the football side, we need all the schools to step it up big time.
  9. Hey now..I know we're not suppose to respect each other's teams around here...because we're all haters, but don't count out the Dogs just yet. They have a ton of momentum right now...winning 6 straight and they had Nevada's number this season...
  10. There was a time where I really thought Nevada, Utah State, and Fresno State would fill the void, so to speak. While none of these schools could make up for the loss of BYU and Utah, I thought that Nevada or Utah State could come close. I knew Fresno State had some work, but I was confident we'd hold our own, which we have been....but I've been pretty disappointed in both Nevada and Utah State. These schools were pretty bad ass in their WAC days (the Wolfpack went to the NCAA like 4 years straight, same with the Aggies)...and while the WAC and MWC were two completely different basketball conferences, I thought both these schools would make an immediate impact when they joined....but I was wrong.
  11. Even though I'm happy that Fresno State is in the MW, even I can admit that the old MW was much more exciting and relevant in basketball before Fresno State came aboard. I remember watching teams like SDSU, BYU, NM, and UNLV battle it out on TV and thinking..."damn, what an awesome basketball conference..."..
  12. Yea, I can understand that. Being from So Cal, that was my biggest issue at first. The heat is just crazy in the summers. However, it is 100% dry heat, so you adjust really quick. 0 humidity, so you can still do things throughout the day without feeling like you're going to die. And, here in Central California everything has A/C. All the shopping centers, restaurants, event centers....etc. It seems like every where is trying to accommodate you. Funny story, we know some people that moved out to Orange County. They came back to visit one time and complained out hot it was sometimes, and no one had A/C! Everywhere they went, it was hot! My sister in law said the same thing when she moved to San Luis Obispo...it was hotter than hell one day and absolutely NO WHERE to cool down cause no on had A/C's out there!
  13. I'd like to chime in, even though the OP is just talking trash. California is a big state, a really big state. And like any other big state, there's a lot of bad areas, and a lot of good areas. The heavy tourist areas like Southern Cal, the coast, and the Bay are always going to be the most expensive areas to live in. That goes for just about any state. You're paying for the atmosphere, plain and simple. San Jose and San Diego are popular cities for tourism and businesses. So, the housing market is crazy. Just like it is in LA, San Fran, and the Central Coast. That being said, Central California (Bakersfield up to Stockton) is not a big tourist area, away from the coast, and not as attractive for businesses, so, housing prices are low. And I'm cool with that. I bought my first home in Clovis, just outside of Fresno. I love my house, it's beautiful. And I honestly couldn't afford that house anywhere else in California, literally, I've looked because I've had job offers outside of Central Cal but it would be a step down for me because while I'd be making more money, I wouldn't be able to afford crap. All that being said, Fresno gets a bad rep but people forget that Fresno is the 5th largest city in California with over half a million people. Any time you get cities that big, there's a ton of crime and poverty. Just look at the other big cities like LA, San Jose, San Diego, and San Fran, and they have their fair share of ghettoness. And if you want to get technical, there was a pretty thorough study done last year that rated the worst crime cities in California, Fresno came in at #20...and while that's nothing to brag about, because I know Fresno can still be pretty ghetto, it's still safer than many other cities in California like San Francisco, Riverside, Sacramento, and LA... http://www.gddlaw.com/2016/05/12/cities-california-dangerous/
  14. I've always liked Hawaii's uniforms. They're unique to the University and its location.
  15. I guess SDSU...which is kind of pathetic...but oh well, BCS Bowl here we come!!
