  1. I didn't notice it at first, but the Mankato player who scored the gamewinner also inbounded the ball. She made a nice cut. They forced 27 CSUSM turnovers.
  2. Minnesota State with the game winner in the D2 semis.
  3. no. They play almost all of them at the Prudential Center
  4. Walsh Gym is where they play volleyball and women's hoops. And an occasional NIT game if they're lucky enough to host it
  5. just weather the storm, get it to 8 or 9 points at halftime.
  6. Aztec assistant Chris Acker is reportedly going to be named Long Beach State's HC at the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament. And potentially hire Tony Bland as an assistant.
  7. I have to disagree here about him being out of your league. Nevada showed you a blueprint by hiring Alford. You're in a multibid conference. Got The Pit. Plus at least a $750k buyout to help with the replacement if jr Pitino does leave. Mack hasn't coached in two years. He's itching to return to the bench. It wouldn't hurt to give him a call. All the big jobs except Wazzu have been filled to this point.
  8. Chris Mack? He's ready to get back into coaching. Plenty of experience, yet still young enough to stay a decade plus. UNM might very well be the right fit. Though I think he'd probably like Nevada more should Alford leave. Heck, I'd have him on UCSB's speed dial just in case...
  9. Louisville had only two coaches from 1971-2017. Chris Mack had three decent years. Why was he fired midway through '21-'22?
  10. Four of the WCC teams finished with a sub-200 NET, and LMU was at 199. Pacific had the nation's fourth lowest at 359 and Portland just missed being a sub-300 team. Half the league was poor. OSU and WSU will be playing in those gyms too
  11. It's good to remember where you came from. But while I'll always claim Yorba Linda as my hometown, that is the very picture of a bubble. I'm happy living in San Diego.
  12. Slightly off topic, but it won't surprise me if Hawaii was lukewarm about Washington State and Oregon State putting their other sports in the BW, which is why they're going to the WCC for the next two years. As I told you before, I believe UH's mindset is that until they leave, they don't want anyone else from outside California coming in. Just a hunch . A shame that an opportunity to strengthen your current league was lost. OSU and WSU would have added an at-large bid across all sports.
