  1. This is blasphemy. Any Top 25 poll that does not include LSU in it's rankings can not be legitimate. Oh wait..... Never mind.
  2. This is the new normal. Get used to it. The Power Five conferences have left the building. Anyone who is honest with himself can plainly see that all of the Gang of Five conferences have started to sink into the same oblivion that is FCS football. Nothing can stop it now.
  3. Attendance numbers like these clearly demonstrate the huge gulf that exists between conferences that make up Power Five and those that comprise the Gang of Five. That gulf is even more profound when you include the attendance numbers of the AAC, CUSA, MAC, and Sunbelt. The divide that separates the elite conferences is growing larger every day. G5 conferences will all soon be playing in a lower division, one that you will be able to compete for a national championship in. Maybe that will help with the attendance numbers. Before this all ends, many of its lower tier members will be left behind by the elite Power Five conference members when they form a 40-50 member Super Division and completely separate from the NCAA. That is when things will really improve with Gang of Five conferences. Schools like Oregon State, Iowa State, Mississippi State, Northwestern, and Louisville won't make the cut for the Super Division. At that point, all Gang of Five conferences will change as new conferences will be formed that will include the best of the Gang of Five members. Those G5 members that aren't included in this move will be relegated to FCS level football. That is where they belong.
  4. Hawaii is in a tough spot, no doubt. The good news for you guys is that Hawaii is one of the few schools that could actually make being an Independent in football work.
  5. Why did Hawaii agree to the terms it did with the MWC? Was it a case of being so desperate to exit the WAC that you were willing to do so at any cost? If so, you have no one to blame but yourselves for the crappy deal you have.
  6. It's called CHEATING. That makes Boise CHEATING SCUMBAGS. They deserve to be punished.
  7. La Tech plays A&M, Virginia, Illinois, and Houston OOC. If they go undefeated, they have a shot.
  8. AFA is on the federal tit and doesn't need the money, so you may be right about them, but Fresno and UNLV are located in states that are bankrupt. Both will be facing extreme cuts to their operating budgets. They'd jump at the chance to move to the BE.

    SMU

Fresno is a conference mate of USU's this year, and Fresno will be a conference mate of USU again. Why you want to act like Fresno is something more than a lower tier, mid major program is beyond me. You and SJSU are both located in California, which is the most bankrupt state in the nation. Both Fresno and SJSU will soon be reeling from budget cuts that the state of California is going to be forced to make. Your football programs will suffer greatly as money is pulled from athletics. In five years, you'll both be thankful to still be in a conference with the likes of USU. Socialism will do that to a state.

That's back before SMU was caught being the biggest cheaters in the NCAA. Its been downhill for them ever since.
  11. The BE may end up having to reach deeper into CUSA and the MWC than they had hoped. USM, Memphis, and ECU could still wind up in the hunt out of CUSA, and I give CSU a decent chance out of what will be left of the MWC. Utah State will end up in the new MWC and La Tech will end up in the new CUSA, so the WAC won't exist much longer. The new, watered down versions of the MWC and CUSA will be better than the MAC and Sunbelt, but any hope of BCS AQ status for either will be gone for good. It sure seems like you guys get close to real improvement as a conference each year, only to have some of your own members pull a Benedict Arnold on you and leave you high and dry.
