  1. They should shut down the basketball program so they can focus on their true passions. Academics and football. In that order. lol
  2. I don’t know about all that. WSU didn’t exactly dominate and Arizona is perpetually an underachiever for their seed. It’s possible, if not likely, that after Saturday the P12 only has one team still in the tourney. I guess we’ll see how it turns out. Reno blew it big time today and CSU should’ve been able to win. Both teams do what MWC teams seem to love doing… sustained scoring droughts. It’s absurd. Everyone on here talking about “beating each other up” but often it’s just ugly basketball where no one can score. Still 3 more chances tomorrow, so we’ll see what happens. I think SDSU and UNM should win. USU, much like BSU, will always be a loss in my brackets until they prove otherwise. So likely never lol. I also had BYU losing so that was pretty nice haha. The Big 12 didn’t exactly light it up today either.
  3. USU lost 25 games even though this is just their 24th appearance (yet to be played)? Odd. Same for some other schools listed Do they have some consolation 3rd place games or something?
  4. Even this year’s team isn’t exactly dominating at home anyway. So Southern and AFA can blow UNLV out at home, but these great MWC teams can’t manage it? Maybe they don’t belong in the tourney anyway if that’s the case. I’m not a huge fan of Vegas as a destination location, but for sporting events it clearly is a popular location. I guess the MWC started a trend. It makes too much sense to have it there for the reasons you mentioned and more, but yeah have it move to random MWC locations every year. That’ll do wonders for attendance and visibility.
  5. Yeah because home teams never lose to better teams at home, right? BSU went undefeated at home this season didn’t they? Oh wait, I forgot they just lost another game at home with first place on the line. Embarrassing AF. A neutral court would be ideal, but BSU’s March record on neutral courts isn’t great either. At least in tournaments that anyone cares about. Also embarrassing AF. I’m sure you agree. WTF are talking about? So your suggestion is to host a tournament at a school that’s not even in it at all? Yeah, that’ll create a really electric atmosphere. Truly bizarre idea. They should do it for sure. Obviously it isn’t ideal to host at UNLV’s home court but it’s probably a pretty sweet deal and it isn’t exactly a true home court advantage. They don’t control ticket sales and allocation (I assume), the court is literally different, they sleep in hotels from what I’ve heard here, and it’s not 90% UNLV fans there. How many tourneys are in Vegas at this point? Sure, this season they could go on a run and win it all, but that’s possible if the tourney was played at UNM or apparently at embarrassing af BSU. They could also beat Reno on the road too. It’s also likely that they lose to Reno and then lose their first game in the tournament. Clearly SDSU is comfortable playing in Vegas. But they’re not just beating UNLV when they win there, so maybe if your team is actually pretty good, they’d be able to win in Vegas too. People show up and it’s a great event, but yeah let’s mess with a successful formula to avoid a problem that hasn’t happened and potentially lose revenue. That’ll make sense.
  6. Based on the ESPN matchup predictors, some real competitive must see games tonight lol. Although I guess you never know with AFA on the road.
  7. And? He can still be a shitty person and a baby. They’re not mutually exclusive.
  8. How is this thread 2 pages? It should’ve just been OP, someone saying “you’re crazy”. Then boom. Lock thread. Lol Mods asleep at the wheel
  9. This is so bizarre to me. I get why it’s like this but it’s still bizarre. Having different official balls for different teams and tournaments seems like something from the earlier years of the game.
  10. Why would he leave? Does he not know that he is OC at the greatest school in all of college football, with the greatest QB/RB combo in all the land? If he stayed and had what could only be an undefeated national championship run he could have his pick of schools to head coach. Interesting.
  11. Yeesh. Making posts about how many more wins than the worst seasons in your program’s history. Seems kinda sad. To be clear not a knock at you or anything. Just an interesting state of affairs for UNLV hoops.
