  1. I'm not even going to bother with that place. Try looking at the AAC sports forum. They believe they have a real shot at grabbing the remaining PAC teams.
  2. The PAC? You mean for 4 remaining schools aren't going to back down?
  3. Which scenario is that? You do realize that every MWC team would have a huge fee for leaving to go the PAC right? While any PAC team can leave for free. More likely scenario is they merge and change the conference name.
  4. I just hopped over to the AAC forum and apparently their fans think they have a real shot at merging or added the rest of the PAC-12 teams. The delusion is real!
  5. The PAC-12 is dead as we know it. They will either merge with the MWC or they will disappear as a conference. No team in the MWC can afford to leave right now and in order to survive the Pac-12 needs a TV deal by next year. It's not going to happen.
  6. Their Ivory Tower just imploded. They had plenty of chances to expand over the years and they wouldn't do it because of their snobbery.
  7. This would be the first time the MW has been in better shape after realignment and I'm good with that.
  8. Bringing in the 4 remaining PAC 12 schools would make a pretty football conference. OSU has been doing great with Jonathan Smith.
  9. Yes it will be. If they were smart they would join the MWC instead of going indy, but they will refuse to be associated with lesser academic institutions I'm sure.
  10. I'm sure it depends on what the TV contract stipulates. It's possible any new additions would have to accept the same amount as everyone else. My hope is they wrote it into the contract that if they expand by 2 or more they can rework the contract.
  11. Cal's stadium debt is going to be a giant noose around their neck for a while too. They are in deep shit.
  12. Ideally they join the MWC and we are able to rework our TV deal for me money.
  13. Definitely a good add for our conference. Devastating financially for them.
  14. This is probably highly unlikely now. If Oregon and Washington go to the B1G and ASU and Utah go to the Big 12, then the PAC as we know it is dead. You got to remember that the MWC still has a TV contract and grant of rights. So are teams really going to join the 4 remaining schools and pay a huge exit fee? The PAC 12 will need to start by 2024 because their deal ends this year. It's more likely they join the MWC unless somehow the MWC drops it's name and takes the PAC name. I feel bad for Oregon State and Washington State. Those guys are going to take a huge hit. I don't see the Bay area schools joining the MWC, but who knows I guess.
