  1. Haha. I never even got banned. He put my account into some mode where when I log in, it says that its experiencing high volume and to try back later. But, yeah, sucklocksleyoff... err bandeleteo and suckalfordoff... err sucknealoff... err I mean Mark... are basically the same personalities. Love to talk about how much they do, how much effort it is, how successful they are, name-drop, etc. They both love to say they run (in bandeleteo's case, "ran") a fair board, blah blah, but it really comes down to expressing opinions they don't agree with. They are absolutely carbon copies. Hahahaha. Frankly, these guys make the UNM online fan experience more entertaining...
  2. But The Lobo Liar says this is the must talented Lobo team he can remember?
  3. I fell off the Davie bandwagon last year. Too many coaching mistakes. I guess we can take solace in the fact that Clayton Mitchem has no more eligibility. Otherwise, Davie would be trying to start him every week. No doubt he's brought more stability to the program, but his recruiting has been mediocre-to-poor (which is reasonable given the state of the program) and his in-game coaching has been terrible. Even with the program in rough shape, I still expected Davie, with him name, to land a couple of significant transfers. I basically agree with PTR. 4 wins or fewer and he's gone. 5 or 6 wins who knows, probably stays. 7 or more wins and Davie is the toast of the town...
  4. I thought Locksley always had good teams on paper too? Davie looked clueless in-game coaching last year. Hope he buys an espresso machine or stocks up on Red Bull so that he can be awake for games this year...
  5. His injury was not major like an ACL or an Achilles, but it seems to have been treated like one. It was a simple grade 2 ankle sprain. Sprains take 4-6 weeks of protection to heal, then you need to start moving. As you both pointed out, they may be sore for the rest of your life. My original point is that "recovery" should be a TOTAL NON ISSUE next season.
  6. Don't read negativity into what I said regarding his illnesses. They were indeed serious stuff. That's why I said that I just want to see him healthy more than be a star on the team... But I agree with you on the ankle sprain. 99/100 athletes play through it. I call BS on what they did...
  7. I hate taking shots at players, but Cullen had a moderate ankle sprain. Didn't require surgery, he should have been out 4-6 weeks. Every athlete in the world has turned his/her ankle at least once. What the heck are you talking about "recovers?" Give me a break! You guys act like it was an ACL or Achilles injury. Geez! Frankly, the kid has been hurt or sick most of his 2 years at UNM. I just hope he can stay healthy for a full 6 month stretch more than I worry about him being a star on the team...
  8. In fact, the specific reasons for hiring him cited by Paul Krebs were continuity, familiarity with recruits, etc. Pretty funny if you ask me... You weren't the only person by a long shot who was against Neal being hired. Also, quit lumping Alford and Neal together. Alford was a great coach at UNM and now we know how much he really meant to us. As I said when Alford was here and when Neal was hired, UNM needs a name coach, pure and simple. Great program, great fans, great facilities, but the remote location is tough. We can overcome that with a name coach.
  9. Well, according to a certain Lobo sports expert, Krebs is will be the next AD at Ohio State. I don't know how a guy destined to run the biggest and baddest college sports franchise in the country could be worried about his job at little ole UNM... hahahaha
  10. Ahh... I guess my sarcasm wasn't effective on the message board...
  11. Come on guys! Even if he finishes 5th or 6th next season, you can't judge Noodle on just 3 years. You don't understand how bad of shape Alford left the program in. Wanna talk about a bare cupboard? Alford's last 2 recruiting classes were terrible. Any coach coming into that mess would need 3 years just to unwind the mess he inherited!
  12. Haha. I had a great weekend. Weather was great out here for a change. A couple of baseball games, a lacrosse game, 4 basketball games.... Sure, I like your take on things. Let's pay Krebs half a mill, Noodle a full mill and the new 30 year old assistant a quarter a mill. UNM and NM are drowning in excess cash, so no biggie. No expectations, no need to win, just hope they enjoy their stay in ABQ... Love it!!!
  13. I know! So what if 100% of Neal's staff has turned over in 2 years. So what if half the team has transferred out? So what if we had our longest losing streak in the modern era of college basketball? So what if Neal called out and attacked players in the media? So what... so what... so what... So tell me... what positives have we seen from football and basketball the past year or so??? What positives would you like for me to report and discuss?
  14. While UNLV is landing a 5* recruit, UNM's Noodle Neal is busy striking out in just about everything he does... 1. Ryan Miller (current assistant at UNLV and former UNM assistant under Alford) was offered the UNM associate head coach job and turned it down. Wow!!! To stay on Dave Rice's staff at the end of the bench vs. #2 at UNM. I don't even know what to say... 2. 2016 verbal commit 4* Mitch Lightfoot just decommitted from UNM. The Lobo Liar keeps saying that having our 22 1/2 year old assistant Gatorade-maker out recruiting (because we're down several assistant coaches at the moment) is no biggie, but I don't think it sends a great message to recruits. 3. It's been weeks since we lost Lamont Smith. Doesn't even seem like there are bona fide, mutually interested candidates. Given the complete turnover in Neal's staff in just 2 years (we're talking every assistant, video coordinator, basketball operations, down to the strength coach and trainer), could it be that working for Neal isn't that rewarding? Plus, I still think we'll see 1 or 2 more players transfer out (we've already had 1 - Edwards). Are any of our 2015 recruits in doubt as well?
  15. Heh. It's the Lobo Liar Effect. Pump, Pump, Pump. Delete any critical posts. Don't let anyone talk about the fact that he transferred because he was looking at limited minutes for the rest of his career there. He was 3rd on the SG depth chart at Butler. Instead, talk a lot about his NBA Coach of Year father. After a year and a half of this, you've got most of that board believing he is the greatest shooter in the history of Lobo basketball and his dad is going to replace Lamont Smith (and work for free). I'm not a prophet. I hope he turns out to be the best shooter we've seen. Heck, gawd knows we need a shooter! But don't set the expectations up so high that all he can realistically do is not live up to them...
