2 Aztecs on FR All-American team

Curtis Weaver made it too. He was not a 2** recruit. He was a big time recruit that Boise had to fight USC off late to get. It's good seeing some of Boise's bigger recruits panning out.

DL: Curtis Weaver, Boise State

Weaver led all FBS freshman and the Mountain West Conference with 9.0 sacks while adding an interception and a fumble return for a touchdown.

Avery Williams deserved a spot too. Played good D and had 2 Pr touchdowns

I believe if they would have had separated P and KR he would have. The guy from Troy returned 3 kickoffs for TDs and was 4th nationally in KR average. Avery was a pinky toe into the sideline from returning 3 punts for TDs.

I will. It's an embellishment

While you're at you should write all of the people who voted for the MW teams last year. Brian Hill got the nod for 1st team RB largely because he rushed for more yards than Jeremy McNichols. Despite McNichols averaging more ypc, ypg, TDpg, and WAY more receptions per game on a team that finished with the same conference record and a better overall record.

People tend to look at totals, right or wrong.

Granderson is a stud and likely a future pro but he couldn't hold Weaver's jock based on both their freshman year performances. I also believe Weaver only played about half the amount of defensive snaps that Granderson did this year--so he had significantly less opportunities to rack up stats. If players make their biggest jump in performance from frosh to soph like most believe, Weaver will become an absolutely dominant player next year because he was right on the cusp of being dominant this year.

No. Carl Granderson led with 8.5

It's amazing how much you know about the Wyoming players' stats being that you're a die hard AFA fan. Kudos.

Carl played as an undersized DE as a true freshman.   He was leading the league in sacks last year before his season ending injury.  This year he is 2nd in sacks (or leading in s.p.g. depending on source), 2nd in TFLs, and has a couple picks.  He is one year older than Weaver.

Thompson is a TRFR.

They were both 2* prospects with a combined 1 other FBS offer.

Well, Louisville paid for Roemer to take an OV and then offered him so it's not like he was totally under the radar.

Brian Polian was too dumb to even offer. Probably busy trying to poach all SDSU's other recruits until it was too late.

Boom goes the dynamite.
