Not many opportunities for big wins, but a lot of "should-win" games.   We should do pretty well this week.

oh yeah, i forgot about the quasi-tournament stuff, i just took the schedule from ESPN.  Fresno plays either La Tech or George Mason on Wednesday, too.

Good shot at a big win, although i don't think UNLV has the horses just yet.

You may be right, but Utah and UNLV did play a common opponent and UNLV spanked Prairie View harder than Utah did. I know that's not worth much, though.  I know many of us are rightfully cynical about UNLV actually being good, and I'm not making any long term predictions, but I'm confident in saying this isn't your typical Dave Rice team. I hope we do get to play Utah and in doing so get a little more insight into what we've really got here.

It appears that USU will lose down 77-81 with 9 seconds. It's tough seeing how far they've fallen. Hopefully they're able to find the right coach after this season. I still think Randy Rahe would be a solid fit, it's amazing the amount of NBA talent he's brought to Weber. Ability to recruit to Utah should be their first priority for both football and basketball coaches.

We beat an undermanned EIU squad tonight by 30, scoring 94 in the process. True frosh Matt Mitchell went off for 31, most from behind the arc. He's a big strong kid (6-6 230). Doesn't look like a freshman. Reminds me of Wayne Seldon a little.

Not sure what to make of this squad yet. We have destroyed inferior opponents and folded against a decent ASU squad. We shoot better than in years past but defense is suspect. Not a lot of toughness right now in the low post but better tonight

Good chance for UNLV to get a good win. Utah will likely be top 40 Kenpom after this win.

All is well, For Rice is gone.
