The run only opened up after the passing game forced the AF DBs to back out of the box. Would you say that was more the result of scheme or Chapman's arm? He doesn't have a great arm. He's not even 6 feet tall. I actually find the whole discussion pretty dumb. I don't think any of the current MWC QBs will be kneeling on Sundays. 1 Quote Thay Haif Said: Quhat Say Thay? Lat Thame Say

VandalPride97
There's got to be an independent ranking out there somewhere, unless Josh Allen destroyed it with a roundhouse kick followed by a 50 yard TD pass.

sdsuphilip4
Yeah clearly Christian Chapman only looks good because of his offensive

GoCoAztec
Chapman was 12/27, 240 yds, 1 TD, 1 fumble and ended up with 26 yards rushing even though he was sacked 4 times. Considering that we had no running game and no time to throw, would any other MWC qb had done any better?

I can think of 5 MWC QB's who could have done better.
GoCoAztec
No, but only Stevens and McMaryian have a significantly higher QB rating this year. How would they have performed under the kind of pressure Chapman had to deal with all night? Who knows. Chapman has a career QB rating over 145 and has more big wins than any other MWC QB. He has to be considered in the top tier.

Chapman is a serious gamer. Best QB in the conference is a stretch, but I have nothing to knock the guy after that Boise game. Serious competitor, big heart, and no quit in that guy. Got nothing but respect for the guy.

Maybe Aztec fans will think twice about trying to trash him now. Allen is running for his life on 75% of pass plays (even against an abhorrent USU defensive line). Wyomings running game is probably even worse than what happened to the Aztecs last night. Your sweet little Chapman got a little taste of what it’s like. Your post honestly made me chuckle.

ltcpilot
Not to be confused with the top of this list but on an individual performance note, in the last two games AF's Arion Worthman In come from behind win over UNLV rushing 30/166yards/5 TDs (and 4-8 pass/9ypc) In come from behind almost win but loss to Navy rushing 20/139yards/2 TDs and 9-16/257yards/2TDs Tough kid and only a junior.
