Is that the anal cyst he used to get a 4F draft classification after losing his student deferment by flunking out of community college?

Anal cyst is a pretty apt description.

I never believe these kind of hit piece stories until I check to see what really happened. I'm not one of the sheep that reads a hit piece on social media, and then blindly runs with it as fact. Often times they exaggerate what was said or take it out of context on purpose.

After looking into it, he did go too far. However, the story has also been exaggerated and taken out of context. Notice how the article doesn't actually quote him on saying it's a conspiracy. That's because he didn't say it.

The story implies that he was saying these things when it was totally clear that Irma was going to hit FL. And the story implies that he said these things after Irma had strengthened to a 4 & 5 and implied that he had said these things before it was determined to be a catastrophic hurricane. But none of those things are true.

But regardless, it was a dumb thing to say because he had no idea how it was going to end up. Are there liberals in the media that like to push climate change? Sure. Are there liberals in the media that attempt to connect climate change to big natural events? Absolutely. But this kind of analysis needs to come well after the event, not as a threat was starting to become reality. This is what he said Monday that sums up his position:

“The media takes every extreme that is in a forecast such as this and runs with it as though it is gospel,” he said. “And then they hype it and hype it and hype it. And then they tie it to climate change, and they tie it to whatever. And it’s not the hurricane center doing that. That is the media.”

Again, regardless if the media actually over-hypes anything or not, you don't say that crap when there's a chance that it lives up to its hype.

Does anyone still listen to the blowhard?

Still mega huge ratings. It's not just people that like him that are making up his audience size. He gets quite a few that listen because they love to hate him. And as is the case with helping Howard Stern's ratings, people listen and listen longer because they're curious about what he's going to say next, good or bad.

Limbaugh has a lot in common with Trump. They're both obnoxious, self-aggrandizing, moronic media whores.

Rush - “all you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent and bigger and more dangerous, and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.”

Intelligent people about Rush - “all you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that "liberals/Democrats/Non Neo-cons" are evil and want to change America into a socialist state and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.”

:hmmm:

I find it amazing how his listeners still fall for his shtick.  It can be a problem in the long term if his listeners have more kids than rational people.

"Hit pieces" are when people NC like are quoted verbatim

Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard.
