Trump could be 5 years into a 6 year prison stretch and claim it's not over. If he goes down it will be glorious.

And he will not like it!

Understand something about Trump here, people who delude themselves into thinking he is embarrassed. While still a rich kid to any of us, Trump grew up in a world where he was ghetto compared to his peers, ie the people's whose opinions he cares about. He cares only about there opinions, not the people who supported him or voted for him. He wants to shove their silver spoons up their silver asses. He thinks himself a self made man. No matter how much money he made, he was still considered, rightly, low class by those he craved approval from in his youth. Becoming President is at the same time a greater accomplishment and a greater "+++++ you" to those who looked down upon him from the ivory tower than anything else in life could happen to a rich person.

He will never resign. He would never give those rich assholes who laughed at him his entire life to laugh eternally at his quitting his greatest accomplishment.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

This guy has a knack for predictions.

So, he was wrong about the election.  That pretty much puts him in the same camp as the entire world excepting Trump die-hards.  Now, if you actually pay attention to what he says about Trump's personal psychology and what drive him, he's been absolutely accurate.  In particular, read the New Yorker article.  That being said, I tend to agree with Lawlor.  Even someone as self-deluding as Trump won't be able to resign and tell himself he didn't fail.  And the driving animus in Trump's psychology is to never, EVER be seen as weak....a loser.....a failure.  Look at the epitaphs he hurls at his opponents.  That is absolute projection of his fear of how he might be seen.

Dude, I don't really care. lmao.

That guy might think about Trump more than Jackmoron. Hard to trust anyone with tunnel vision, whether they make sense or not.

Trump's business MO has been go big.......when things get iffy, bluster, boast and attack the naysayers with fake promises and threats.............then as the heat gets hotter, he will settle out of court / file bankruptcy and then go on PR binge of how he really WON.

If things get too tense and if the hammer might fall.............fully expect Trump to suddenly resign and then go on months long tirade how he was betrayed by democratic obstruction, by his own GOP majorities in congress, the media, and even traitors in his own administration .......those people, elements will be at fault (he will say) and they it was the greatest conspiracy in HISTORY to destroy his presidency (his fans will agree)...........then he turns into a one man media circus in the following years bombastically blasting everyone & everything he faults ,,,,,,,,,,,,,night even form beginnings of 3rd party as vengeance move against GOP & fake media as is also would keep him in the spotlight

I don't think it's beyond the pale that if he thinks he's going to sit on his gold plated crapper in Trump Tower with his phone in hand and attempt to destroy the country to cover for his failings that the CIA/Military will hot-dose him.  After all, he's a fat, seventy year old guy, under incredible stress who lives on a steady diet of cokes and well-done steaks.  Is anyone going to be all that startled if he dies of a heart attack or stroke.

No one person(s) can be bigger than the feds.  Our govt has the legal means to ensure it doesn't happen.

Whether Trump resigns, dies of a heart attack, is impeached or whatever, he won't last 4 years.

For the sake of the Republican party, he better not.

I think in 4 years he will lose and claim he lost do to fake votes.

SGF,  what's your thought of the Republican base that is staunchly defending Trumps Tuesday comments and equating the white nationalists with BLM, Occupy Wall Street and Antifa?

Do you agree?  Are you surprised the base is turning on Republican politicians that spoke out against Trump?
