Is This The Best QB Year All Time??

Recommended Posts

This has to be one of the best years for starting QB's in college football history.

Louisville - Lamar Jackson

Washington - Jake Browning

Ohio St - JT Barrett

USC - Sam Darnold

Alabama - Jaylen Hurts

UCLA - Josh Rosen

Penn St - Trace McSorley

Oklahoma - Baker Mayfield

Wyoming - Josh Allen

Florida St - Deondre Francois

I just can't remember going into a year with this much star power at QB since the early 2000's..... should be a fun year in college football.

2010 was pretty ridiculous. Going in we had

Boise State - Kellen Moore

Nevada - Colin Kaepernick

Alabama - Greg McElroy

TCU - Andy Dalton

Virginia Tech - Tyrod Taylor

Ohio State - Terelle Pryor

Wisconsin - Scott Tolzien

Washington - Jake Locker

USC - Matt Barkley

Arkansas - Ryan Mallet

Florida State - Christian Ponder/ EJ Manuel

Stanford - Andrew Luck

Michigan - Denard Robinson

Houston - Case Keenum

Michigan State - Kirk Cousins

Missouri - Blaine Gabbert

Baylor - RG3

And those were just the returning starters. Then you throw in the first year breakout starters.

Auburn - Cam Newton

West Virginia - Geno Smith

Oregon - Darren Thomas

Nebraska - Taylor Martinez

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

It is pretty amazing that Kubiack and Elway played their whole careers for the Broncos (I'm not counting the Colts) and Kubiack never tried to go anywhere else.  NFL is definitely different now.  How many teams locked down their QB1 and QB2 for over a decade in one draft?
