Debating whether they'd notice him getting in a threesome, most likely.  Hides easily?

The more I think about it the more it seems obvious the show is headed towards democracy. Over half of the kingdoms now either had their ruling house wiped out (Martells, Baratheons, Tyrells) or have no males to carry on the name (Lannisters, Starks), and On top of that The Vale and Riverlands are a mess. The only kingdom with a male firmly in charge is the Iron Islands, and there is zero chance Euron Greyjoy makes it through season 8 alive. They are going to have to figure out who is going to rule all those kingdoms somehow, may as well have people vote on it. It's either that or Dany just arbitrarily gives a bunch of underdeveloped families those kingdoms, which would be kind of anti-climactic.

Speakng of ruling families and the Riverlands, My buddy has been binging something up all season. Where is EdmureTully? Still sitting in a dungeon in the twins wondering what happened to all the Frey's. Did Arya forget to let him out. Haha.

Also, Littlefinger being executed by Arya was glorious. I wonder if she's going to take his face as well and go try and wreck shit down south. The only people that know he's dead (assuming nobody has sent a raven) are those in Winterfell.

The North gained an amazing battlefield commander in Jaime after he finally, after seven +++++ing seasons, realized that his sister is a +++++ing bitch. I only wish that he had taken Bronn with him as well.

The Dothraki and Unsullied should be arriving at Winterfell all around the same time, which is where we'll see next season start. About that time is when Beric and Tormund will arrive back there to give them the news that Eastwatch has fallen and the Night King has a fooking undead dragon.

Overall, I was satisfied with the season finale... I think it tied a lot of stuff together and sent us hurtling on into the show's final act.

Pretty sure they already know since Bran was warging the crows up there when all that ish went down.

Having other houses take over as Great Houses is established in the history of Westeros. House Baratheon, House Tyrell, and House Greyjoy weren't great houses until after Aegon's conquest. There are other claimants to The Reach, such as House Hightower and House Florent. The Starks exist through the female line, and technically Jon and Bran, despite their own unique circumstances. House Lannister still has Jamie and even Tyrion. House Arryn still technically has Robin, House Tully still has Edmure, and exists in the female line through Sansa and Arya.

The only truly "extinct" Great Houses are Martell and Tyrell. Even House Baratheon still exists through Gendry, who could be legitimized by Jon and/or Dany. The Iron Islands were actually a pseudo democracy, as they used to have a Kingsmoot (which is how Euron took power), but House Greyjoy murdered all of the members of it at one point, and kept control through hereditary succession.

I may or may not have read the books too many times.

What do you think was up with Tryion's look outside of Dany & Jon's love nest?

Good question. It was obviously set up as something for people to theorize about for 18 damn months. The obvious one is regret due to a secret agreement he made with his sister. My guess is he made some promise to cersie that he knows he can't keep to gain her help up north, but he doesn't know Cersie will renege on it. He will come to regret it, but nonetheless his treason will still be made clear to Dany and Jon. It will probably cause a significant death or two. Dany received a prophecy from the warlocks that said she'd receive three betrayals. We know of two so far....

He may have promised that Cersei's unborn child would inherit the 7 kingdoms after Dany was done. That's why he was so interested in the line of succession earlier in the season.

He was worrying that Jon and her would make a kid

That would be very logical actually.

Keep doubting him... All that look was is Tyrion confirming everything is moving as planed.

I don't think Tyrion would believe or trust anything Cersie tells him, ever. He may play like he does, but if anyone knows better than Jaime, it's Tyrion. He's not falling for that.

I know in the books they replaced a few houses when the Targeryans first took over, but it would seem kind of weird to do that In the show since these would likely be houses the average has no idea who they are.   Although I suppose they don't have to get in to it on the show since Dorne is so underdeveloped and they could just give the Reach to Sam. But I wonder what they will do about the North. I don't know how they will have a Stark in Winterfell considering Bran can't have kids, Jon is legally a Targaryen, and Sansa will have to change her name if she marries.

In the show, they had House Frey take over as a Great House from House Tully.

House Tarley under Sam could certainly be a possibility for The Reach. As for the Starks, they could go the way of Dorne and just not give a shit. Doron and Oberyn's ruling parent was a woman, and not the man.

Ultimately though, I don't think this is really something that the show will really even deal with to be honest.

Cersei doesn't take the deal the Lannisters lose and King's Landing gets rolled by dragons, Unsullied and the Dothraki.

So she is already allied with the walking dead.  They saved her.

Stop pretending that you are capable of rudimentary thought.  Just regurgitate some absurd shit you read on uproxx or some other clickbait crap.

I just thought of something.... Eddard Stark knew that Jon Snow was really Aegon Targaryen.  Why did he push for Stannis Baratheon to be king after Robert's death, instead of the his nephew Aegon/Jon, the rightful heir?

Might makes right, not a claim. Nobody was going to follow a bastard that Ned all of the sudden says is the heir to the throne. If they did they would really just be following to put Ned himself in power with Jon as a front, like we saw with Joffrey/Tommen and Tywin.

Also, Ned loved Jon. Putting a crown on his head is the surest way to give him an early death. He would need to win a war against the Lannisters and Stannis Baratheon for sure (and Renly it turned out) just to survive childhood. That is a really tall order.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

Not to mention the fact that Jon was also a member of the Night's Watch.

Exactly right.

Except for season 7 where Jon runs around the continent calling himself King and +++++ing nobody, literally not a single person, thinks to themselves "King? WTF? Aren't there rules and some shit?" It seems like this would have been a problem for people before this year.

Didn't the other lords of The North declare him king?

Yeah, but that doesn't have anything to do with how Dany and Tyrion and Cersei and everyone right down to Gendry would view it. Everyone in Westeros, even the peasants, would know that a member of the night's watch forfeits any claims to land and titles and takes no part in affairs of the realm. They should at least be asking for an explanation as what happened to the vows Mr. King Snow, considering all you talk about is defending the wall from an enemy none of us have seen and only the Night's Watch could know about.

Its really just dumb writing. Nobody asked because they needed Jon's sacrificial death to make Dany fall for him totally when the time came. The former Lord Commander becoming King in the North would be a red flag to every person from Westeros under the previously established rules of the world the series had operated under.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.
