Seems like it would make more sense for them to in-fill and truly own their markets

Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard.

Idaho is rated higher academically than most of the MW.

Also by the OP's logic you could say that ASU and Arizona are MW bound:

Mountain West Conference locations

Huh?  Why would we downgrade to the Big Sky when we are one of the few FBS programs to actually make money and not be drowning in debt (like you are now).

As of fall 2016 Nevada has an undergrad enrollment of 21, 353 and an additional 2500 graduate students.  There are several  new dorms currently under construction and further expansion of the campus.  It is expected that the University will have 30 thousand students within 5 years.  However, student enrollment numbers are not necessarily indicators of athletic success or the lack thereof..

In addition, the population of Washoe County is 416 thousand with almost all of that centered in Reno/Sparks and the closely surrounding area.  But again, local population totals don't mean The University Athletic program is good or bad.

Oh you didn't hear? To cut down on violence in our society, Congress has identified the Border War as one of their leading offenders. As of 9/1/17, Fort Collins and a sliver of land down I-25 From Cheyenne will be added to the State of Wyoming. This will end the Border War.

When asked off the record if they realize that it's not really a war but a bunch of 2 star pudsters sort of running into each other, one Senator stated "Ah hell, who cares. It sure looks good as an accomplishment on my campaign mailers when I'm up for re-election. No one pays any attention to what these people do out there, anyway.
