I'm so confused:unsure: I think I've only seen 2, maybe 3 of the movies.

If I wanted to start at the beginning, in what order should the series be watched?

Rogue One, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens.....then...if you have a long weekend or something...you can watch I, II, and III...it's not required though, lol

1. Return of the Jedi

2. Empire Strikes Back

3. A New Hope

4. Rogue One (barely ahead of my #5)

5. Force Awakens

.

.

6. Revenge of the Sith

7. Attack of the Clones

8. The Phantom Menace

George Lucas really screwed the pooch with Episodes I - III with his overdoing of CGI. Plus doing idiotic things like giving R2D2 rocket boosters to fly in Attack of the Clones (I think it was this one), yet there was no hint of this ability in Episodes IV - VI where he could have used them in the Swamps of Dagobah.

Thankfully, he sold Star Wars or else he would've gone back and edited that change into the story line...

God, I can only imagine the horror he would be unleashing on us if he still owned the property.

That being said, he is directing the sequel to Rogue One....

This is correct.

Empire is clearly the best film.

It's not even close.

However I will make an allowance for "A New Hope" to also be accepted as #1 due to just how big a deal it was and the cultural phenomenon it launched.

If you choose any other movie to be #1, I believe the differences between us are too fundamentally broken to proceed with discussing anything else in the future.

Anything with Sand people involved has to be pretty high up the list.

Empire was the best,  the others fail to compare at any level

Any movie without ewoks is shyt

If you mentally replace "ewoks" with "wookies" and "endor" with "kashyyk" and "stupid little rocks" with "bowcasters that fire laser thingies" it makes the movie pretty good

Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard.

This seems like a good place for my two favorite Star Wars songs:

Oh, and the requisite list:

Empire

A New Hope

Force Awakens/Rogue One

Jedi (hate the Ewoks enough to drop it from #3)

Revenge of the Sith

Phantom Menace

Clo(w)nes (interminable love scenes with screechy Hayden Christensen kills the movie for me)

Ernest Series

Smokey and the Bandit Series

Vampire Trilogies

And last, and sure as hell least, TARD Wars movies.

Just got back from Disneyland, and am really pissed how Tard Wars has effed things up there. Eff Tard Wars, And all you GD Tard Wars spazzes! Stay home!

I can't take anymore of Retrofade and Jackmormons crazy Russian crap.  It's driving me away from the board.

Im going to try to change the subject.  I just saw RogueOne again, man that was a fun movie.  A Star Wars movie with no Jedi, and no sequels to set up.  I really dug it.

Although I talked to a couple buddies, and they didn't like it as much.  And my boy is tired of the whole heroine deal that has become the Disney/Star Wars formula.  Anyway, here is my power ranking of Star Wars.

1.  Empire Srikes Back (the classic)

2.  A New Hope (the original)

3.  RogueOne (a fun movie with great pace)

4.  Revenge of the Sith (as awful as the prequels were, Lucas somehow pulled a great movie out of his ass for his finale)

5.  Return of the Jedi (solid and satisfying)

6.  The Force Awakens (good movie, with funny lines and good effects)

7.  Phantom Menace (boring movie)

8.  Attack of the Cones. (A damn near franchise killing movie)

What do you guys think?

The original has to be on top.  Other than that I agree with your list.
